A.I. DEFENSIVE MANOUVERING..ANY LIGHT IN FUTURE?

That's fair I think - although I was seeing left turns down low as well as right.

When given some space, it will gain altitude.

Once it has some altitude, it will do a fair job of using energy tactics, including yo-yo's to engage, and a few other things.

 

When closely engaged, no it will not utilize tactics you'd expect from a pilot who's about to be killed if he doesn't make a move.

I'm guessing that will come though, as well as differences in fight characteristics between AI settings.

 

I even saw a 190 to a vertical stall into a hammerhead last night. It had some damage so I think that played into it...might not be a coded maneuver as such.
