These are not historical representations, I do not know what those places actually looked like. I only made these repaints to have fun and fly over something unusual. I give you the maps as they are for now. None of them are finished, lot of things really need more work. These are not great quality retextures, but seen from the cockpit and in motion, it's ok. There are still many things I don't know how to do, so you will find some weird areas, some textures repetitions, etc. I wanted a generic agricultural landscape, which could be (with imagination) anywhere between Russia and the Atlantic Ocean. Correct path is (eg. with green Moscow map): "yourgamefolder\MODS\MOSCOWgreen" and if you open this folder: "yourgamefolder\MODS\MOSCOWgreen\data\graphics\landscape_moscow_a\..." Activate the mod with JSGME or OvGME (I use JSGME). Remember that the three repaints for Moscow replace the same map, so you can activate only one at a time. Would love to have that officially integrated as a summer map into the game and maybe supplemented with early Barbarossa planes for VVS. Say, what do you think about doing an early winter and summer map for BoS? Then we could have summer/fall/early winter/deep winter both on BoM and BoS. That´ll be really great! Personally I think they are fun to fly but for officially released maps I want them good, very good, in every aspect. Nevertheless, this is my favourite winter map. I tried to figure it out by myself but I still dont understand the file structure. Do you think its possible, to give all three seasons of the kuban map (standard, without winter mod) more diverse and rough field textures? I think the vanilla texture are too generic and homogenous compared to satelite photos. I know there were no satelite photos 70 years ago but I bet the kuban didnt change that much. It's pretty simple. texturemap.bmp = pixel rgb value defines the texture used on that section of the map textures.tini = defines which texture goes with each rgb value landtexturesquality folder is where ground textures are at Adding new textures to the ground can be done by making a new texture and putting in lantexquality folder. Then in textures.tini add an entry for that texture with some unused rgb value. In texturemap.bmp change whatever tile pixel you want to that rgb value. The hardest part by far is the texture work.

315_R2r Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 Just a quesition, I would like to have access to the maps files - just to know the location of rivers and trees and other landscape to better/faster plan location for the new objects groups in mission planning by server - right now the only solution is to go step by step, sector by sector in the mission editor. Am I wrong or not?

I’ve tried this but they don’t cover the whole map. It has something to do with a file that places the trees on the maps. Also tried to get rid of the orange fall trees in Moscow winter. Maybe someone know how to do this?
