SCG_motoadve Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 Was modifiyng some files from 3 D Migoto to get a better IPD. Now lost any movement inside the cockpit, so when I try to get close to the gunsight the airplane moves with me, if I move to the sides, same problem. Uninstalled 3 D Migoto and no fix. Limited VR view is unchecked and still no movement allowed. Dont want to have to re install the game again. Anyone knows a fix?
Dutch2 Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 What did you do to solve this, are is this same as I have with the mouse at the startup, sometimes its freezed and I can not get out off the hangar and after an game restart it is working again.
SCG_motoadve Posted February 9, 2019 Author Posted February 9, 2019 Nothing, its just fixed itself with the newest update.
E69_Qpassa_VR Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 Just FYI, although you have Oculus Rift. If this happens in WindowsMR: A) Check there's enough light B) Reconfigure limits and define your position as seated
JonRedcorn Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 Had this happen turned out it was a sensor that the cat moved.

Yes, those cats can be really evil - very often my TrackIR camera all of a sudden points to the ceiling and of course nobody touched it! Yeah. 1 1
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 For OR/WMR, this happens if the OR/WMR client started and gamespace has not been set up* or properly recognised and SteamVR has been started To fix it, turn off SteamVR, then put on VR HMD in Oculus Home/Windows Home environments, so that the HMD renders. Then restart SteamVR. *In OR, sometimes it happens when you just started Oculus Home but haven't put on the headset yet, before starting SteamVR. Just put your finger on the sensor to have it light up once and you'll always be safe
SCG_motoadve Posted March 18, 2019 Author Posted March 18, 2019 Same problem after new update, I cannot lean to the front or to the sides, the whole plane moves with me. Already re started the PC and same .

Already re started the PC and same . Sometimes I get this when a sensor has lost USB connectivity. Open Oculus app and check it can see the two sensors. Try unplugging a sensor, waiting 10 seconds, then re-plugging. Sometimes fixes it for me. Or you might need to do the "which USB port" dance and move your plugs around a bit. I have no idea why this happens. I bought a specific PCI-E USB 3.0 card to avoid this kind of crap and unfortunately it didn't make things any better. I'm actually looking forward to inside-out tracking and a single cable from GPU to HMD... *crosses fingers and prays to the gods of GDC*

Again after a few re starts of Il2 it fixed itself.

Roger_Meatball Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 I played with my Odyssey Plus for the first time last night in IL-2 and had this issue. I am going to try setting up the seated space in my VR client and see if it gets fixed It was a bit dizzying to have everything rotate but not translate. Also, is there a universal solution for getting your mouse to activate when your headset is on your face? My mouse moves fine while headset is on the table, but stops when it's on my head, and I have done a bunch of weird alt-tabbing and win+y to get it to work, but it has seemed like luck at this point (I haven't found a reliable procedure).

Again.. I guess you also seem to start SteamVR and simply expect it to work. VR isn't that userfriendly, still ? 1) You must start Windows' "Mixed Reality Portal" first. 2) Put on the headset, and look around to let it recognize your roomspace, and loads you into the Cliffhouse. 3) Everytime you restart the Computer! ?? 4) Then, afterwards - you may start SteamVR. P.S. @coughlinjon The mouse issue also appears if you don't follow this order that I have posted. There is no other way, trust me, I've fiddled around way too much with this ? Thank you I knew there was some sort of procedure I was missing, but I couldn't figure it out. Shocking that you have to redo room space every single time...
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Don't worry! It's not necessary to setup room space, it's just that you create roomspace with borders once - then when you restart, you just wave the headset left to right hand side thus it recognizes where it is now. Compared to setting up the Oculus if a sensor has slightly moved, it's nothing, it's really easy
