SShrike Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 When I first got this game, I foolishly bought Stalingrad and Moscow through steam, along with a couple collector planes. Once I came to my senses and was shown the light, I got the game launcher and said bye bye to steam forever. What would happen if I now bought Stalingrad and Moscow from 1C? Would it mess with my install? Why do this you might ask. 1. To support the development 2. To see BOM and BOS medals in my profile. Thanks for any insight.

It was, beside he already linked his 1C profile with his steam profile up, not possible to sent it to him. He bought the base game BoS directly some time ago. If you dont have BoS and BoM airplanes in game when you start it in lancher, then you can buy them from web store and no problem, youll get brown medals. But if on this acount you have BoS and BoM airplanes (meaning you linked acounts ) then it wont work, i think store would not even alow you to buy BoS or BoM if detects you have it (only gift is option).

I was hoping to add the moscow and Stalingrad medals to profile. If I had known that more support went to development by buying direct, I never would have bought through steam. I have bought BoS and BoM from Steam and everything else after that directly from the 1C shop. I have linked both accounts and can start the game either by the 1C Launcher (installed un my [C] SSD harddrive) or via Steam (installed on my [D] data drive). What I find convenient with steam is the very high download performance compared to the update performance via the 1C launcher, which downloads at snails pace.

I also made this mistake to realize that Steam takes quite a lot of money. I have BOM and BOS from Steam, but from now on I will go direct purchase.
