JGr2/J5_W0LF- Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 (edited) Hey Gents I was wondering how one would take a mission that was made for a dogfight dserver to change so all planes to fly in it. Instead of a set amount...In other words I have a said mission that I found online and it looks great, perfect objectives and the right amount of AI planes as well as targets. The only problem is the plane set has around 10 planes for each side but its early planes and I would like to change it to the later year planes like the P-47 and the Bf-109K4 and so on. Is it doable. Thanks in advance for any help guys! Edited January 23, 2019 by 325th_Bugsy
JimTM Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 In the properties dialog for each airfield object, click the Planes button and specify the plane types, numbers, and so on in the Planes dialog (see pg. 226 in the mission editor manual).
Sketch Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 Following JimTM's guide -> click planes -> click on one of the planes in the spreadsheet view -> Change the plane amount to unlimited by checking the unlimited plane amount -> OPTIONAL: Change any other variables as you see fit. Click 'OK' button in the plane settings -> Repeat this process for each plane in the spreadsheet view click ok in the spreadsheet view and then save the mission ???? PROFIT! 1

JGr2/J5_W0LF- Posted January 23, 2019 Author Posted January 23, 2019 (edited) One question guys please If you have a mission in the correct folder then why doesn't the ME able to open it up. In others words I have a mission which is installed correctly and I can add and delete it from the Dserver, but when I try to open it with the ME its not showing up in the folder to edit it. Oh and some missions give me a mission file transfer error #10017 which I have no idea what that means..lol Edited January 23, 2019 by 325th_Bugsy

Just start typing the mission name and you should be able to get it. Then, after saving your changes, store the .mission file that is generated as a backup, as the msnbin files can become unreadable due to game updates. I usually just put an underscore to the beginning of the mission file name, and keep the .mission file in the same directory with the msnbin file. 1
JGr2/J5_W0LF- Posted January 24, 2019 Author Posted January 24, 2019 That did it thanks Temuri...I was able to access the mission I wanted. Salute!
