Just found out about TC today.

Awesome to see a version of Il-2 come out that lets us play ground vehicles and aircraft in a mixed environment. Back in the day when Il-2 came out its was an idea I often soap boxed on various forums. Glad to see we are getting somewhere nearly 20 years later. 

 

I'm a little gob smacked at the system specs. I'm just looking at the original early 2000's copy I have of Il-2 Sturmovic and the spec is a PIII or better. But I remember the game did not function well until the P4's at 3+ ghz came along.  So it looks like I will need a new computer in addition to the new game. My current pc is around ten years old. Heck I'm still running XP.

If it is in your area and you have the bandwidth, I use shadowPC on my 8 year old rig and it plays without issue. I have 50mbit connection and choose 30mbits, IL2 tanks runs maxed out, looks and feels superb.

Yes multiple players can log into the tank.

No hard copy as far as I know, this sim is constantly updating, so it is not practical to have a hard copy.

Try Efront server, this has tons of tanks!

It is very unlikely that there will be a hard copy of TC. ?

how active is the Efront server? I was looking last night for the server and only found one that said Efront and it was empty and had the worst ping of all the servers (the only 'red' one).

@gad11 Efront is active with 30players max.

However , the connection is not stable at moments

It is usually empty at night since most of the players are from Europe.So if you hit it at about 20-21 you will see plenty of ppl.Especially the weekend
