Make icon disappear and display message on objective completion

Hey all I just launched my server KUBAN LATE WAR 1944 24/7.

 

 

I want to be able to have the map icons disappear when the enemies are all dead like on WoL. Can any of you help me out?

Target link a deactivate trigger to the icon translator that marks a target. Once the target is destroyed, trigger the deactivate trigger.

Do I need a Complex Trigger linked to my Group to tell a Translator Subtitle to say everything is dead? Or Event link the Translator: Icon to my group?

You don't need a complex trigger for your scenario. I assume you have a target with a number of separate objects that must be destroyed before you announce that the target is destroyed. Have a look at "Example: Destroy a Factory Complex" on pg. 98 of the editor manual. Do the following to the example setup:

  1. Add a deactivate trigger.
  2. Target link the "OUT" counter to the deactivate trigger and target link the deactivate trigger to the target icon.
  3. For each additional object at the target, add a new counter (e.g., IN 4, IN 5, and so on) and timer (e.g., T4, T5, and so on) and add 5ms to each new timer value (e.g., 20ms, 25ms, and so on) and set up links in the same way as the existing counters/timers.

Oh wow thanks buddy! Yes that is exactly it. Thank you good sir.

 

Maybe I am not looking hard enough but I want to save my Groups in the 'Groups' tab on the right where you select MCU's, ships, vehicles ect. I don't want to import from file. Rather just select my assets from a list on the right panel.

Save your group under the /missions folder and restart your editor. I suggest that you create a couple of subfolders under /missions, such as Groups and Groups -Temp. Store all the groups that you use a lot under the first folder and save groups that you just want to try out under the second folder. Your main groups will then appear before your temporary groups in the object library.

Thank you good sir! I got her done.

The objective kept completing after on Skd was killed then I figured that the 'Counter' must be set to the number of objects you want destroyed before the Subtitle Fires and then the Trigger: Deactivate deletes the icon.

 

One thing though...I have the vehicles set to 'Delete After Death' and they won't leave.

Vehicles take about 7 minutes to disappear. Check the time for yours.
