Single player career mode on BOK "Executed for war Crimes"??

Hi,

I just had a strange thing happen after I returned from a mission in Single player career mode on BOK . My pilot was "Executed for War Crimes" does anyone know why this would happen? I was flying a FW190 attacking an enemy airfield (Well behind enemy lines). Whats strange was the "Friendly Fire" warning came up several times during that mission  as I was attacking the parked aircraft yet, all the kills were saying they were parked LAG3's on an enemy airfield with marked red AA targets (I still use the aiming help mode). The mission was completed successfully and it said to return to base so I don't know why this happened. I was kind of really pissed about it as I spent many many hours on this pilots career and now have lost all his kills. Is there away I can avoid this happening in the future or is it some kind of random thing?

    Thanks in Advance,

Yes, there's a problem right now with parked aircraft being assigned to the wrong side. It's been reported in the internal beta testing forum.

This is a bug that has been reported in the forum a couple of times now, so I hope it is being looked at by the team: the mission builder sometimes manages to put the wrong nationality label on a flight, so you are being punished for "friendly fire".

Not just parked aircraft: one of the missions posted in a bug report had this on a flight in the air at mission start as well.

Thanks for the information. I'm sure they will find the bug and correct it soon as they are pretty good about fixing any problems when they pop up. I wish the fire and smoke lasted a bit longer after you attack a parked aircraft. The fire and smoke only last several seconds and it seems that in the real world these burned out park aircraft would take much longer before they were extinguished. The fire and smoke goes out  so quickly after your attack its sometimes hard to tell which planes you hit by the time you've turned around to make another strafing attack. From what I've read and heard  from pilots and ground crews  is these type of fires were hard to put out and often burned for long periods of time. Either way I love flying these planes and Thank everyone who has helped build and design them. Please keep up the good/Great work.

     Have a Merry Christmas Everyone,

Hello, thanks for the post. In such cases, it is easier for us to detect an error if you send the _gen.mission file which is located in the date folder.

Hi,

Sorry I'm not that great with computers and my son wasn't home at the time. I will try to do that if something ever happens in the future. Have a great holiday season. Can't wait to see whats going to be released next.  Night Fighters over Berlin 43-45 would be very cool somewhere down the line.....Luckily, I have plenty of IL-2 to keep me very busy for awhile. Love the new A-20 over Kuban with ship attacking missions.

     Thanks for your help.

@airahusky - just fyi... exactly the same happened to me, flying a dynamically generated mission in a BOK career with an FW-190 - half the parked airplanes were assigned as "friendly", and my pilot got executed on return (with no possibility to roll this day back) - so the bug is still unresolved.
The bug happened on a mission to an airfield west of Slavyanskaya.
I presume the data\Flightlogs file would be the one you need to solve this (I could not find any other file in the current \data and its subfolder, please advise if you need a different one) - file attached to this post.

Additional Info: I flew to the same airfield (directly west adjacent to the City of Slavyanskaya) in a different career - and the same row of airplanes was again marked as friendly (the southern row in the single plane shelters) - so maybe this is not a global dynamic bug but somehow tied to this airfield or airfields using exactly this location template.

Maybe this bug can be solved easily.
