Picking Plane sets for campaign?

Updated my post to add a rough timeline document.  This is more accurate on the start of production, I ignored the end of production.  Primary goal was to make sure I didn't put planes in the hanger that did not exist yet.  I used to have one of these for ROF.   Added the links for where I got the info.

I don't believe there is one big Excel sheet, but there is a forum section dedicated to the historical aspect of the career.

Once you are in mission you can check your briefing to view metadata for the plane you are flying.  In that is a listing of the "Combat Debut Date" of the aircraft.  It at least tells you what date the plane was flown in combat.  You can also check https://il2sturmovik.com/about/ , it lists the planes assigned to each battle series (moscow, stalingrad, kuban, etc.)

 

Other than that, what I./ZG1_Martijnvdm posted is helpful for in depth info.

Its a post with the in game Plane briefing data.  Sadly it is not updated with recent releases.

Take a look at the top of the post.  Made a rough timeline in excel.  This is relatively accurate for start of production.  I did not attempt to map end of production.  Primarily a tool to make sure I didn't show planes in the hanger that did not exist yet.  I had something similar in ROF and found it handy.

I would suggest that that the dates for the Bf110s needs bringing forward: http://www.historyofwar.org/articles/weapons_bf_110E.html gives Spring 1941 for the E series, with the F coming in soon after in the summer of that year. The website also gives Jan 42 as the date for the introduction of the G-2 http://www.historyofwar.org/articles/weapons_bf_110G.html.

Thanks guys  I welcome the collective brainpower of this community.  I will correct based on what info people bring forward so that it is at least in the ball park.

Someone will know the exact dates or months, but Yak-1 s. 69 and LaGG-3 s. 29 are both Spring 1942 aircraft. La-5 September 1942, Yak-7B May-April 1942. Yak-1B late 1942, entered frontline units I believe May-ish 1943. P-47D-28 is mid 1944 but its practically identical(or worse thanks to its propeller) compared to earlier bubbletops including D-25 introduced in May 1944(earlier ones just didnt have direction finding antenna or gyro sight).
