Quick Mission with 12 Enemies Rearming Function included

Hi community,

 

for all those who want to avoid boring long range missions or Quick Mission with only 8 fighters here the first release of a pack of missions in Quick Mission Style with 12 (!) enemy fighters (Allies) and 8 friendly German planes. Forthcoming I´ll present a 16 fighters-QM if requested by the community!

 

I tried to remake exactly as possible the Quick mission scenery starting at once in the air with the whole gang of the opposing aircrafts passing you after a couple of seconds (Attention: Avoid collisions!).

 

The mission starts in the south Kuban map - ok, a bit unrealistic but due to the fascination mountain scenery in the south:

 

 

You can chosse between a mass of Quick Missions flying either FW 190 A5, Bf 109 G6, Bf 109 K4 Bf 109 G14, FW-190D; Macchi 202 and more against P-40, P-39 and (if you have ordered Bodenplatte) P-47 D28 and many Russian Fighter Models.

sorry for the late reply - what a mass - indeed it was the wrong link - sorry!!!

 

I´ve just revised the link and now offer a bigger pack of Quick Missions with more aircrafts than the standard Quick Missions (regular missions limited to 8 enemy ac). One Mission with 16 opponents will cause a strange bug - the fps will stay to 50 - 60 but the speed of the simulated events will collaps. It seems like a slow motion movie. But otherwise mind: There are 28 AC in the air!

 

@Pat: I not yet have the Flying Circus Pack - but this is a good reason to order this scenery - will soon patch this!

Here some more very exciting missions containing the new Dora 9:

 

The missions IX and North_Kuban VIII are missions in very bad weather conditions with 4 enemy fighters and 8 IL2 1942/1943 - not easy to fly by very cool.

 

System requirements:

Update:

 

Due of many changes the producer of this sim has implemented the missions don´t work any more. So I had to update the missions to the new BoK-Version.

 

Feel free to download the new Big Pack.7z from the link above.

 

Installation:

Insert here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\Missions

and

Replace all old Quick Missions by this new ones.

 

In addition to it you get to new Quick missions containing Gustav 14 and Macchi 202-Missions.

Quick Mission Allies RRR

 

Quick Missions Axis RRR

 

All Missions are ready to use the new RRR-function at home plate: Look for the "Opel Blitz" on your airport, shut down engine and after Automatic Repairing press RStrg+A (additional in Flight Alt+R) for rearming and next (if needed) for refueling RStrg+F. These are never ending missions cause of a implemented respawning- and rrr-function. If you will not shot down you can fly 2-3 hour in one mission while shooting down 15 aircrafts and more.

 

The first Missions is a North Kuban Mission - you fly the new P-51D (not easy to fly!) hunting FW 190 A 5, FW 190 D 9 und He 111 Bombers attacking your home plate.

 

The second Mission is a North Kuban Mission and a new Rheinland-Mission. You fly FW 190 that now is fit for navigation with the FW Radio Bearing Compass leading you to home plate:

 

 

In addition to it also the P-51 Bendix radio instrument works perfect:

If I may make a suggestion, it would be very good to specify the name of the plane in the mission titles. i have often to open 5-6 missions before finding one with the plane I wanna fly.

 

Maybe it would be easier as well if you update your first post always with the latest version.

You can find the type of the plane used by the pilot in the description. The Description will be displayed in the user interface when you click on a mission on the right column besides the mission list - before you start any mission.

From the mission selection menu, when i click on the mission, there is no description. It says no description for this mission.

 

To see the plane, i need to go to the briefing where I visualize the map and see the plane selected, and can modify the options. So, it requires to pass through first loading screen to see what is the plane.

 

For some reason also, the maps on your missions are always maximum zoom in, in the briefing screen or during flight.

 

At least for me.

 

Otherwise, as I stated, i REALLY love the atmosphere of your missions. One of the best i have seen accross the board.

See GUI below! Go to "Missions", click on any mission i.e. in the "Rheinland"-folder and see the ac you fly on the right side of the GUI.

This is exactly what i do, but when selecting the mission it put "no mission description".

o. k., this problem appears due of new foudamental patches of the develloper (last coming with the new awesome cloud-graphics some month ago). In this cases its necessary to make a new "calibration" of all mission-files. This is a strange uncomfortable peculiarity of this simulation.

 

I have still new calibrated my files and will deliver you this new mission-collection this night or tomorrow!

 

Tell me wether the problem is solved!

Delete your current Quick Missions Kuban Axis- and Quick Missions Rheinland-folders from the game/data/missions-folder completely.

 

Unzip the folder Quick Mission Pack and paste the new Quick Missions Kuban Axis- and Quick Missions Rheinland-folders in the game/data/missions-folder.

 

Start game and be happy some hours in one and the same mission!!!

 

Tell me wether the problem is solved!

 

Tip of the day: Try this mission and intercept B-25-Bombers in a giant cloud szenario:

 

 

In which other mission is it possible to shoot down 25 Bombers in 1,5 hours in the same mission!!

For some reason, I am getting mission description for bomber intercept but not for dogfight, where there is still no description. Is it possible that the fix was not applied accross all missions?

That´s strange - no, in my case all descriptions are working perfectly! Do you use the latest update of IL-2?

 

Are you sure that you have deleted all elder files - better the whole Quick Missions Kuban Axis- and Quick Missions Rheinland-folders before replacing by my actual mediafire-uploads?

Yes, 100% sure, i repeated 3 times the operations deleting full folder before, to make sure i hadn t mess up anything.

Yes, they all do work. Except extreme zoom in the map always in briefing and mission.

I went into Mission Editor and realize Mission description was let empty for most of the missions except some bomber intercept missions.

 

As for how to define the level of zoom on the map, I will have to learn more about editor.
