I think what Bugsy needs to do is remove that aluminum gloss from the painted parts of the plane, as well. Especially the noseart. I've noticed that he did that on the tail identification marks on some Jugs, but the rest of the paint shines like metal...

frenchy I like my skins the way they are I will eventually re look at each one and put them into a big skin pack, thanks

Sure, might have been a bit blunt but it's what I and probably quite a few others think if you look at the reactions on my last post. It's up to you if you want to do anything based on that.

Been doing a few skins over the last few days here is another skin that belongs on a Razorback. I'm going to ask Santa if he can make it happen one day

Ask Santa if he can make the Pacific happen one day, too. That skin belongs to a Jug from the Saipan based 318th Fighter Group. And since the unit later got P-47n's and began flying out of Ie Shima, tell him that we also want P-47n's. Okay...maybe I'm getting a bit greedy, now.

Thanks. I def need a pc upgrade myself. Photoshop eats my resources, anyone know a good way to optimize photoshop? Currently it's a struggle to get it to run smoothly without freezing or lagging.

The P-47 "That's Urass" flew with the 367thFS of the 358thFG. I haven't any information on the pilot unfortunately or disposition on the Thunderbolt at this time. I took some liberties with the yellow/orange cowl, painting it a solid color to balance out the tail. Not 100% accurate maybe but I like the looks of it. I did the nose art from the B/W picture below. I had to guess on the "Urass" part of the name as it really doesn't show up well in the picture. I did find a scale model decal set for this plane but the quality of the pictures I could find were rather low res so I took a shot at what I imagined it to look like. I think it matches up pretty well. Not quite ready to offer up the skin so any suggestions are welcome.

 

ICDP's template is one of the best I've ever worked with. I tweaked a few things to suit my own tastes. I've really struggled for months trying to understand how the Alpha channel worked in Photoshop but I've finally gotten that figured out. Looking forward to doing Lightnings and Mustangs when they arrive.
