Yeah. They better give it a broken engine because of bad supply. So K4 can barely take off. And only one 13mm can fire, because the ammunition didn't arrive.

We didn't fix VR performance. Wasn't broken in the first place. We improved how some things are drawn boosting performance. VR was never broken, so don't refer to it that way please.

What is your manifold pressure and prop RPM? You should be getting ~60-64inches of boost for peak top speed.

 

Also not 100% sure but once you've got the boots right, you may start changing the prop pitch to a lower or higher RPM. Don't know if it is modelled but if the prop is going to fast the tips start pushing the sound barrier and you lose thrust. For the P-47B with the smaller prop it looks like the AAF used 2,700rpm,so with the big one, it might need a lower RPM.

I've been flying the new American fighter against the new German fighter! The P47 won't turn with the Pfalz D.III at all! This game is PORKED! PORKED!!! ?

I don't have the exact figures yet. I am still tinkering with the settings. I might need a new flight stick to accommodate the new settings that are needed. Using a MS FF2 currently. Thanks for your assistance!

I guess I just needed to upgrade my system. ? Also nowhere in my post did I claim the Vr performance was broken, apparently you are reading far too into my post. The perfomance has increased drastically. The game was barely playable in VR before and had to be run at very low settings, it now runs great at much higher settings, learn to take a compliment.

The P-47 is like a dream come true. I'm going to spend the next couple of weeks just learning this airplane. I'm loving the eight .50s on the P-47 too. I got a G-6 in my sight at about a 3/4 aspect to myself. From about 400 yards, one burst laced it from the cowling to almost the tail. The 109 didn't die immediately, but it was mortally wounded right there. 

 

While I'm most eager for the Mustang and Lightning, take your time with them as the Thunderbolt is going to hold me over just fine. :) This is going to be a great holiday weekend. After turkey dinner of course!!!

Seriously, glad you're loving the VR performance.

It's true looking through the rift things are not nearly as exciting to look at, but far more exciting to fly.

No you are implying it didn't work in VR hardly at all which it did for the vast majority of IL-2 users with good or great performance. Comments like yours cost me customers.

Sorry to post this here gentlemen.  My joystick stopped working with the new update.  I searched everywhere to try and fix it but to no avail.  Can someone point me in the right direction?

 

It still works for all other games.

It has been working  fine and smooth with my PC , not 90fps, but works good at ultra, and playable.

Happy VR customer here.

Looks like a huge update.  Well done and congratulations to the team.  I haven’t got the new titles but I’ll definitely look forward to flying the Ju-52 and free hunt missions as soon as I can.

Nice update, but hard to appreciate with the MS FFB2. Force feedback is still causing huge amounts of stuttering when I look around. Hoping we get a fix soon.

I don't know if that's really the case, given the focus of so many topics and discussions in the VR forum about achieving acceptable performance, even on high level hardware.  The fixes to VR performance in this update are certainly welcome.

Figured out my sound issues with it being distorted, just turned in game volume to %50 and head phones up now it actually sounds like an engine :)

I forgot where my blip switch was when taking the Camel for a few spins, so I hit eject by mistake and yes it works with the poor victim of my ineptitude falling all the way down. He looked serene though.

Loving the new update, the P-47 is definitely a completely new beast compared to what we had until now.

 

I'm impressed with the engine sounds, especially in idle. Great job!

I just spent about an hour with the new patch and I must congratulate the team for out doing themselves. Very impressive work and I'm just scratching the surface of everything changed since the last patch.

You said that they "fixed" VR, which implies that it was broken.  It isn't really that difficult to figure out what he's talking about.

I'm excited to test out all the game tweaks in this patch, they are very welcome, while I do like new content, i'm even more  thrilled that you keep working on all the game mechanics gui etc, and making them even better,   Looking forward to see how some of these tweaks and new features work in mplayer too.

Good to Great VR performance was within everyone's reach that had decent or high-end equipment. Some of them refused to turn down certain settings to achieve maximum performance. We never said it would run at 90 FPS with Ultra settings and still don't.

Does Bf 110 & E7 Jabo ground attack missions now have escort planes in career? ( At least on bf 110 )

I have not able to test yet.

 

And does AI have now ALL Ace option on career difficulty settings.

 

And thanks for adding improvements to AI i noticed yesterday evening that now AI can shoot back when face to face encounter.

Did a flight in the K4 this morning on KOTA. The K4 is a VERY good airplane! For giggles, I was attacked by a Thunderbolt at around 3k so I wanted to see what happened and how quickly he could catch me in a dive. He had the E advantage from the beginning, so needless to say, it did not end well. I was diving full bore and was losing control authority and he was easily in firing position in like 8 to 10 seconds. If you are in this position, you have mere seconds to plan your next move or you are dead. The Jug can DEFINITELY dive!

 

Curious, has anyone witnessed one of these events yet?

That's a really strange characterization - I've never seen any sort of 'refusal' to turn down settings, that doesn't even make sense.  People went to great lengths trying to determine which graphics settings were bottle necked by what hardware, which settings were the biggest visual sacrifices, which settings affected spotting, etc.  It seems like you're just looking at everything through a very pessimistic lens.  People are happy that VR performance is getting better.

Nobody claiming performance was poor was running ultra settings. We watched as performance dropped in the last two patches and are now excited at the thought that it's running so much better. If anything saying VR performance is fixed as in improved will get you more customers. How saying anything is fixed or improved loses you customers is beyond me. 

 

Bringing this new planeset in is going to get you plenty of new customers you won't have to worry about what I say. Just keep doing what you guys are doing and the fruits of your labor will materialize. That I can guarantee you. Also the AI improvements are very nice.

On another note, has anyone tried the older aircraft we have (BoS,BoM,BoK) to see how the introduction of compressability to the physics model effects the flight characteristics? I know everyone is busy trying out the new birds, but I think it would be interesting to see the changes in the older aircraft, if any at all.

i just wrote a bug report elsewhere but thought maybe I could ask others on this thread if they sometimes had problems dropping bombs from the P-47.Sometimes i get a successful drop ,other times its as if the bomb release key on my joystick isn't even connected to anything...?
