Friend cannot connect to Cooperative server

Right, so I tried hosting a server for me and a friend to play together and mess around. The server is set up properly, ports are forwarded, I can connect no problem, DServer has been add to the list of allowed apps in the firewall and he still can't connect. He sees the server, can click connect and the loading screen appears. But suddenly, he is put back into the "Choose MP game mode" screen where he has the options of either Cooperative or Multiplayer.

Think anyone can help with this matter?

Thanks in advance.

Try the solutions in "Players Cannot Join a Multiplayer Mission, No Error Message" on pg. 184 of the editor manual.

Verify that you forwarded the following ports:

    - 28000 TCP (for communication with each player's PC)
    - 28000 UDP (for communication with each player's PC)
    - 28100 UDP (for downloading the mission files to player PCs)

Check that you selected External beside the Server IP field in DServer?

Okay, the ports are forwarded and and "External" is ticked next to Server IP. We will try again tomorrow see if it works.

Thank you for your answer

Maybe a stupid question, but does your friend own the same map as you are using?

I say this because I see you only have Battle of Moscow.

Salutations,

Is Dserver required for the new Cooperative server setup?

I actually have both BoM and BoS and he only has BoS, but I loaded the mission on made on the Stalingrad map.

For multiplayer, players can fly on any map, whether or not they own it. However, they need to own the planes that they want to fly on the map.

Yeah, and I already checked that he did own the plane set up for the mission.

No. However there has been at least one bug that occurs when running a server from the game that does not occur when running DServer.
