Just wondering if anyone could help me diagnose this problem I've been having with my editor on landscaping?

Try the solutions under "GUI Map Does Not Match the Terrain in the View Port or Terrain Appears to Be Corrupted" on pg. 181 of the editor manual. Make sure that the terrain preset and the Season settings agree (i.e., chose Season setting Summer for all terrain presets other than Winter).
