Game Crashing to Destktop When I click Start on Quick Mission

i have the same problem. i just got the game and have 1.2 hours of "play" but haven't ever gotten past the "start" button. the moment i click start and any mission or whatever i just goes to the desktop with no error pop up. i have windows 10, gtx 1070 w/ updated drivers, i5 6600k, 16g of ram. idk what to do this is nuts. its hard to not return the game having never played it.

I just have an occasional problem, yours sound like something else altogether. You need to contact the devs. Are you using steam?

There are no ownership badges under your avatar.

Do you have Battle of Stalingrad, Moscow or Kuban?

He won’t have any badges if he didn’t preorder anything.

The gold badges represent pre-order purchases. Maps bought after release are shown in bronze.

 

To me it sounds like The_Grim_1 hasn't activated his purchase. He needs to activate the purchase in his profile page on the IL*2 site and then launch the game and enter online to get everything synced.

Having the same issues... problem started recently. Played on the same rig for about a year with no issue whatever. 

 

Game launches fine and everything works, until I try to start a mission or get online. Game just crashes to desktop with no message.

 

Searched for solutions online, tried a few things, but no result. So I uninstalled and re-installed the game last night, still no joy. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Not necessarily . My early seam purchases have not resulted in Bronze badges.

 

May not be at all relevant but any overlays running @TWC_NINja (including OC software overlays - some time back the EVGA Precision X used to crash the game but I think that got sorted)?

Turned off the EVGA OSD and it worked again. No idea why that never gave me a problem before...

Hey guys. I got it sorted out. I got the game via steam along with Kuban and the game was activated. After changing dozens of setting on my pc i found out it was only whenever the MSI Gaming app was turned on. thanks for the help everyone especially BOO! Now to go fly for my first time.
