Ptk Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 (edited) Don't want to derail Liz's thread, discuss this here. http://www.mediafire.com/file/em9bivvcmg3pid7/imageatt_3006.rar/file Sept 27th -Quick edit/update, minimal testing, real life has me busy, anything weird let me know. This will increase draw distance for planes. However, since you'll get an error if you try to fly a modded plane, you have to load the specific mod for the plane you're going to fly. So, -know which plane you're going to fly -load the appropriate imageatt_planename mod with jsgme -start il2 If you want to fly something else -close il2 -disable your current imageatt_planename mod with jsgme -enable the imageatt_planename mod that you want to fly Issues -can see them from too far -performance? May be a problem with lots of planes Edited September 28, 2018 by Ptk 3.006 4 4
Adger Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 Very interesting indeed Ptk,il download and try. Thank you
LizLemon Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 You may want to try an image attribute value of 217 instead.

Yeah I tried that, but found it very similar to default. Should probably test it more. Saved track recordings save the +128 view settings, disabling the mod doesn't set the default back to 10k in the track. So tweaking this and loading a track to check is a waste of time. Just an fyi for anyone messing with this. I've been messing with the settings in graphics/planes. You can load edited versions of them in the same way as the luascripts/worldobjects/planes files in this mod (by excluding the plane you're flying). Haven't had much luck with that yet. Could you help me out? What does it enable me to do...switch planes i fly in "Missions ?' Thanks!
Ptk Posted September 13, 2018 Author Posted September 13, 2018 (edited) Unrar image_att.rar. You'll have 50 folders named imageatt_a20, imageatt_albatrosd5, imageatt_bf109e7, …….on and on to imageatt_yak7bs36. All of these folders need to go in your jsgme mod folder. Before you start il2 load the appropriate mod with jsgme for the plane you're going to fly. If you're going to play a p40 campaign, load the imageatt_p40 with jsgme and start il2. Tell me please, does this mod affect the visibility of aircraft with navigation lights? I really like smoke visible from afar, but I don’t like the fact that planes taking off can be seen through the entire map. I do not know which mod is responsible for this.
Ptk Posted October 31, 2018 Author Posted October 31, 2018 Probably this one, turn it off and test it.
FoxbatRU Posted November 1, 2018 Posted November 1, 2018 I checked. Even if you turn off all the mods, the lights are visible from afar. So it's not your mod.Me need to think further.

=TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 (edited) Woah WT spotting range :d nice work but wow we already had a too high spotting range versus IRL guess this would be good for like something, edit: my mate was wanting to do with mixed plane sets and more like a WT RB (longer V Range and external views) for new players who dont want such a hard sim but dont want to play WT anymore. =TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 Good over reaction to what was a copy and paste error when i made original post. (would not send i copied it and it still broke anyways) FYI the good work was not sarcastic, it was in relation to devs saying it was 100% impossible but a random modder does something. Edited other post but geez.
Ptk Posted November 6, 2018 Author Posted November 6, 2018 Don't overreact to no overreaction. I just thought it was funny. I'll edit the other post for people with no sense of humor.

FoxbatRU Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 While temporarily made a version for himself, according to your sample. http://www.mediafire.com/file/m18h7udmivw2wz9/image_attr_fx.zip/file 1 1
FoxbatRU Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 If you are flying F2, then the activated version of the mod should not have the F2 file. And everyone else must stay. If on Yak-1, there should not be a Yak-1 file. Etc.. I made separate mods for myself for the planes I fly on. The archive contains files with all aircraft. You can make working options from it. 1
Stonehouse Posted March 15, 2024 Posted March 15, 2024 (edited) Just an FYI that some of the aircraft text files have changed so this mod needs an update to resync with 5.202. @FoxbatRU I'm guessing you just added an IA_ALWAYSVISIBLE (which has a value of 128) to the existing attributes? Is that right? Edited March 16, 2024 by Stonehouse
FoxbatRU Posted March 15, 2024 Posted March 15, 2024 Yes, following the example of the author, I changed the mod in only one place. When I did this for some types of aircraft (for example, the Mosquito), the parameter was slightly different. I'm not playing IL-2 yet, so when I return, I'll be glad to download the updated mod.
