[Pb]Cybermat47 1514
Awesome work! Would you be able to make a skin of Werner Voss’ Fokker F.I? Thanks The F.I didn’t have the wing skids of the Dr.I, I think you can replicate that by making the wink skid textures transparent.

unreasonable 3160
There is one here showing top wing - looks rather like standard factory finish, but oblique lines. =FEW=Kampfbiber 15
Hello! Does anyone have complete color tables for the airplanes of Jasta 11? I think it would be nice to have all the skins of the real flying circus... I have some material but not everything. I'd like to recreate the following Dr. I's: Manfred von Richthofen's Eberhardt Mohnicke's Werner Steinhauser's Richard Wenzel's Hans Weiss' Lothar Von Richtofen's I know Lothar's skin already exists but as preinstalled skin, it might not be necessary to recreate that one. If you have any more members of Jasta 11 you would like to suggest, feel free to do so. And if some skins have already be done please send me the link! I know that all of those have already been done for RoF, but its time for a rework! Cheers!

Atomic_Spaniel 92
One quick point - The template for the Dr I is wrong, it shows rib stitching under the rib tapes (those little span-wise bumps). The real Dr I did not use rib stitching. Instead the fabric was attached to the ribs with flat headed metal pins. If you look at photos of real DR Is, there are no bumps under the rib tapes and the rib tapes are very smooth and almost invisible. Not like the odd-looking brown marks we have in the template. Atomic_Spaniel 92
Looks beautiful, doesn't it? I found the reference that explains the lack of rib-stitching in the photographs - In Alex Imrie's book, The Fokker Triplane, he writes (p45), "Wings were covered in doped fabric, attached, as was normal german aeronautical practice, by nailing the fabric to the rib booms through a thin tape. Full depth stringing, whereby thin cord is run completely through the wing to secure the top and bottom fabric covers together along the whole rib outing, was not used. The complete fabric wing covering did not possess any drain holes for the removal of condensation." The last sentence also explains why Dr I wings fell apart when used in wet winter conditions. I'm pretty sure I've read the same about the rib tapes in one of the Windsock profiles of the Dr I as well. I'll try and find the book. In any case, this explains why photographs show such smooth wings for the Fokker aircraft compared to the lumpy rib-stitching used on British and French aircraft. Cheers, Nick

But the developer must have had somewhere where a template .. to represent this way ... only where .. he saw it?
