EffeDB Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 Hello there, I think this new tool can help you. 1
BlackBadger Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 Hi is this MOD (in OP) still active? The link appears to be dead.
EffeDB Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 It works. You only have to close 2 or 3 windows of advertising. Then the download starts. https://megaupload.nz/76m1y7b3ne
Jade_Monkey Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Hi @Ptk, Is there a way to change the treble (higher) across the board without editing each sample? Thanks!
EffeDB Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 The problem is connected with *.fsb files. See for example here: https://www.lifewire.com/fsb-file-2621420 I'm afraid FMOD software would be necessary. 1
AKA_Ramstein Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 (edited) lnightmare... well at least it can be fixed.. not sure what happened, but I can no longer hear the bomb release... have to try to tweak it with utility,,, etc... I think it al was fine, then some patch messed up the sounds,,,, can't hear the bomb release and drop.... Edited May 18, 2019 by AKA_Ramstein
EffeDB Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 Begin with the original main.fsb: change only one wav file and create the new main.fsb Then verify in the videogame if you can hear the bomb release. Go on in this way modifying only a wav every time. Pay attention: the new wav has to have the same time length of the old one. You'll discover the modification that interferes with the bomb release sound.
AKA_Ramstein Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 will try this soon,, thanx, will report back. I already experimented with amplify in the utility. I have not yet put the changed file back into the fsb file.
AKA_Ramstein Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 Ok, this is what I found. Apparently my sound software, Asus comes with additional sound software for the sound, has Sonic Radar. I adjusted this software and sound and the interface sounds too. it is better. it isn't as well as I truly would like it, but at least I can hear the bomb release, at least on the planes I have flown with the changes. Wish they had separate sounds for different items, instead of lumping the sounds all together. I need to hear that clunk sound when I release bombs. I cannot hear the bombs explode when they hit the ground either, but that just something I have to live with I guess.
EffeDB Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 Hello, have you read Ptk topic? There is an interesting method to improve gun sound inside the cockpit.
MercCrom175 Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 so is it possible you tweak the sounds to better utilize a Buttkicker device? Aka wing shudders sound before stall more pronounced sort of stuff so buttkicker kicks in on it? Plus well all other sounds inside the pit lol
-47-Uncle_Bob Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 is this mod no longer supported? Would be nice if you could just pop in and say you no longer support this mod or what ever. I suspect you have to update it for every game update so it is only fair you would stop at some point. 2
Ptk Posted June 29, 2019 Author Posted June 29, 2019 Sorry guys, summer is here and I've been busy. Probably not going to have much time for this. 1

AKA_Ramstein Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Quote I think I got it better than in the past...... I can at least barely hear the bomb release now.... it is sad they made it so hard to let you hear what is important,, but made sure you hear the screaming and puking... could be old age, military vet... etc.... or maybe it isn't, I don't know. I am older and past the stage of opening files and changing numbers.... did that for 20 years... I thought in the future there would be an option to adjust sounds... guess not.... anyways, thank you to you guys that still dig into files and look for work-arounds.... many sims were built on the backs of those who started with work -arounds...
AstroCat Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 (edited) Anyone still have this mod laying around? Would be interesting to try it out. Thanks. Edited December 24, 2021 by AstroCat

I came here looking for a way to get rid of that sound, it causes me nausea and headache Also, are mods working in MP? I've never used them in BoX and can't find a straight answer.

Blitzen Posted November 12, 2019 Posted November 12, 2019 This last version worked great in removing the groan/cough & keeping the rest of the RT. Thanks!
