Hi can I install a IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad DVD I see on Ebay  into my already Flying Circus and Battle of Kuban I purchased off 777 my reason is I am unable to find the cost of the online and this Ebay listing at £17.25  is less than half the price of the online.

Please can you tell me is the Ebay item a genuine item.

Here is a link hope it works  https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IL-2-Sturmovik-Battle-of-Stalingrad-PC-DVD-New-Free-Postage/323411032365?epid=1237058645&hash=item4b4cccb92d:g:pEwAAOSwUBdbbtHw

You can find the current prices for BoS from the official store here:  https://il2sturmovik.com/

I'm not sure if there is a sale running currently or not, but they have been running them fairly frequently and I think it has been as much as 50% off in some of the sales.

If the copy you buy is truly new/sealed as it says, then it probably should be OK, but I'd be wary of buying a used copy of the game off eBay or anywhere else - lots of people have done that only to find that the associated key/code for that copy has already been used by a prior owner and what they bought has been useless - basically a very expensive coaster.

Its not the same game pack most likely.

It will be one of those old DVD installs with limited planes and things needing to be unlocked or some other scam.

If the devs are selling the game @ $50 on website than anywhere else that is majorly cheaper is most likely a scam or similar.

For the rest of the world (outside of russia)

There is only 2 ways to buy the game Legally and safely.
Directly from the devs on Main IL2 Website (they devs get 100% of the money)
Through Steam Store (The devs Lose money as steam steals a cut/percentage)

There's usually a fall sale. Save your money and wait for the next sale... That should help you get started!

The Official word will be DONT BUY FROM theses sites!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have copies of both RoF Channel Battles Edition and IL2 BOS (both box sets) and have just checked and realised that they were bought for $12 and $19 (Australian) respectively, so about 9 and 12 US.  Although both were bought last year from EBGames, the guy in the shop mentioned that they had forwarded other copies to other places.  Therefore, if these copies were privately bought to be resold, perhaps there are some legitimate copies out there, however, I guess it is buyer beware.

That said, after the post from Jason, I would certainly only buy now from steam, IL2 site or a real shop!

Isn´t the serial key of the game, once activated online, linked to an email account forever? If so, it doesn´t make sense to buy the game from 3rd parties unless the serial key hasn´t been used before.

It is the same if I would buy say Battlefield 4 as a used copy via eBay. Multiplayer would be useless if the key already has been activated. In such a case you need to buy the physical copy AND the liked account. OR, as suggested already, simply buy via Steam or directly from 1CGS.

If you switch on your common sense, you'll know the answer and let it be.

If you don't want to pay the full price, just wait for the next sale like other have said.

We are not all as clever as you.

I didn't pretend to be cleverer than you - but I just wanted to point out that you take a risk buying BOS on ebay,

because you cannot be sure the key has never been used before.

There is a thread on this forum about people complaining that their keys has been retrieved (annulment) and most

of them bought their keys on websites with doubtful reputation.

Sorry if you feel offended.

Mate, if you are truly in the UK and a pensioner, (as it would appear from your previous posts) would you mind sending me a PM just to confirm this and a little bit about yourself so that i know that you are not pulling the wool over my eyes as I wouldn't want to be taken for a fool.

If you are able to do this and can't wait for the sales to purchase BOS, I have a spare BOS Premium copy if you wish to have it!?
