Hey guys,

i reworked my skins for Fw-190A-8 from this post: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/39231-skin-4k-fw-190-a-8/?do=findComment&comment=711741

I want say BIG THANKS  to E69_julian57 for his help with Alpha channel. And what is new? Well, reworked Alpha channel for all skins, and i created version 2 for Grislawski`s white 9 with yellow bottom marking. I was studying again all informations about Grislawski`s plane, and i think, that is correct when we`ll have two versions of his plane.

There is no option to exclude one option - it is difficult to say which of the camouflages is closer to reality. So I gave you the choice 😎

Note: Skins in pack are with swastika

Have fun - and thanks for looking

The A-8 needs more love by skinners!

Particularily the F-8 and G-8 subvariants.

Any Schlachtgeschwader and Schnellkampfgeschwader/ Nachtschlachtgruppe skins in the pipelines?

Fw190-A8 late war RLM 81/82/76 and 84 with bare metal wings.

This skin is based on colour photos/video taken by US forces in May 1945 ( destruction in Magdeburg ).  I have deliberately left the skin with no squadron numbers or markings as per the video.

Skin included version with and without swastika.

Hi, I wanted to ask if anyone could make a skin from the Hangar10 A8. Would really love to fly it in IL2 with this exact skin, even with the new german registration serial nr.

Anyone interested in making this?

If you need more templates, I filmed this aircraft.

And here are more pictures.

Look at spinner. Seems like the Hjortsberg profile is correct and it is white with black line, unlike the both Sundin profiles above.

Seems like Sundin did 2 profiles, but still got the spinner wrong.

Claes Sundin is correct. One picture of the same group of pictures taken on 23.06.44 in Skirotova ,shows him (Kittel) in front of his Yellow 1 with the same pilots; The spinner has a white spiral on a dark paint.

As for the black spiral on white base paint, this was observed on aircrafts from II.JG54 serving in the Kdo. Kulmey in Finland during the summer of 1944. Kittel was not there but Staka of 3rd Staffel of I.JG54 in Letonia.

Why has yellow 1 (picture above) a white spinner then?

Hi Sevenless,

Do you spot a yellow 1 on this aircraft ?...or a second Gruppe bar ? ... I don't .

I don't know on what picture this profile is based. What is sure is that Kittel never left 3.JG 54 and so never went in Finland.

Furthermore, they weren't any Fw 190A-7 in Finland, only A-6.

The black spiral on white spinners were a feature of Kdo.Kuhlmey Fw. (This Kommando under command of Oberst Kurt Kuhlmey, was made of Stab II. JG 54 , 4th Staffel of I.JG 54 and 5th. Staffel of I. JG 54.plus aircrafts from I.SG 3, I.SG 5 and NAGr.5.

Now if you have  a picture of this aircraft , It would be nice to post it.

Madcop.😃

The first both pictures above show the same plane. Pictures were taken in Latvia summer 44 according to Evgeniy Velichko "The Life of Otto Kittel" Air War Publications. https://airwarpublications.com/product/the-life-of-otto-kittel/

The third one shows him on 15 August when he scored the 1.000th victory of 3./JG 54. The first and 2nd pic show a first gruppe (3./JG 54) plane with yellow 1 and white spinner as depicted in the sketch of Hjortsberg.

As for 2nd Gruppe bar, Kittel was commander of 3./JG 54 (yellow numbers) and from end of August 44 onwards of 2./JG 54 (black numbers). Fritz Tegtmeier, became the commander of Kittel’s former 3./JG 54.

Sundin must have depicted a different plane, at least in one of his sketches (the 2nd), because it shows a totally different Balkenkreuz on it.
