Diggun Posted October 18, 2021 Posted October 18, 2021 (edited) Misfit is a multi-national special duties squadron that goes anywhere it needs to, and does the unpopular tasks nobody else wants. All we ask in return is the best possible airframes to risk our necks in. And a snazzy paint scheme to do it in. Misfit's resident riggers & fitters have done their best, but the shark mouth remains shonky. Still, its the thought that counts, right? Sleek, fast, effective, and in no way a lumbering death trap, Misfit prepare for early war patrolling, ground attack & anti-air interdiction in their 'new' P-40s. That almost definitely aren't hand-me-down's from some other outfit more favoured by Air Commodore Raymond... Available for friend and foe from HSD. Edited October 18, 2021 by Diggun 5 1

ROCKET_KNUT Posted October 24, 2021 Posted October 24, 2021 What is better than take off in formation, fly to the target in formation, attack in formation and rtb in formation? Exactly, landing in formation too! ? Merci beaucoup to wingman @azul-3- for the sortie and @Raptorattacker for creating this custom skin. ? 7
cripplehawk Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 My new pilot...He has connections and yes he is a distant relative to a notorious individual. He already did one sortie so far...It was surprisingly uneventful. No enemy contact despite being in JG3 in the Caucasus near some city that lies west of the Volga River...... Stalingrad. But that will soon change. Like his distant relative...He has a making of a ruthless careerist. 1
cripplehawk Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 Leutnant Heinrich Hoth Taking off for another patrol in an BF109F2 in the JG51 Squadron later October 1941... He will not go to Stalingrad 7 1
Vig Posted October 26, 2021 Posted October 26, 2021 I admit it, I *love* P-40s. A p-40B is high on my dream list. 5

cripplehawk Posted October 26, 2021 Posted October 26, 2021 Bloodied...In Steiner's 8th mission at the front flying JU52s.. The war has finally come to him directly. Although he was unharmed in the attack. He lost his tail gunner This was the first time he lost someone under his immediate command as the PIC Steiner's life. Playing as a JU-52 pilot is almost like playing "Das Boot". What I mean by that statement is that life as a Cargo pilot is mundane and boring However there are moments of sheer moments of terror when a flight of MiG-3s decide to go after you Instead of a U-Boot, It's a Tante-Ju. More importantly instead of being under the sea your in the Sky.. 7
cripplehawk Posted October 27, 2021 Posted October 27, 2021 Adolf Fegelein returning from his first mission... No enemy contacts....no kills. He feels that he has missed out.... 5 1
