Whether this is doable or even reasonable to do, that I don't know. I just know that Jason is not doing things that way, so I assume he has good reson. 5 hours ago, =FEW=Hauggy said: the deal is either they make Clod a badass sim I found it interesting to learn about some inner potential of the Cliffs engine. It would be really cool if both sims could actually profit from each other, in terms of know how and technology. What TF clearly has, is documentation for aircraft to be produced for the sim. Once you can do that, it should be no problem getting them for either platform.

From what I understand the 2 game engines are very different and so that makes them and their content incompatible. Edited August 11, 2018 by =FEW=Hauggy

I didn‘t mean that the games need to be compatible, but witing sotware ptoduced kowhow, and maybe some insights of what works and what doesn‘t would get shared. Each team had to implement it as they deem fit. But no idea to what extent the dev teams would actually share insights.
Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted August 11, 2018 Team Fusion Posted August 11, 2018 CoD and BoX have very different game engines... there is no compatibility. Different flight modeling physics engines, different graphics standards, etc. etc. TF has an agreement with 1C to develop CoD and produce TF 5.0. After TF 5.0 is complete, depending on its success, we will see where we go from there. 1 4

Lusekofte Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 Well I disagree in the negativeness toward COD´s license of life. It has a very good base of Squadrons ready to launch on every event and weekends. Sure they make life a bitch for loners like me. But still the servers are populated in the weekends. TF 5 will boost the numbers for sure. It will be for ever the best WW2 simulator for squadrons. And it got a lot going for itself compared to all other flight sims. It simply require too much time and dedication for me atm. 2 1
ilmavoimat Posted September 8, 2018 Posted September 8, 2018 Can I ask a silly question? Will Tobruk be integrated into CloD or will it stand alone?

Players who only own TF 4.5 will not have access to TF 5.0 content or maps. Players who only own TF 4.5 will be able to join owners of TF 5.0 and fly online on the Channel map in missions which only include TF 4.5 aircraft. They will not be able to join missions which include TF 5.0 aircraft or the Tobruk map.

So it will be combined together like the various modules of BoX, i.e. if you own them all you can fly anything anywhere? Edited September 8, 2018 by ilmavoimat

Yes.... although in some circumstances, it makes no sense to fly particular aircraft on particular maps. For example, the Tropical models of the 109's, Spitfires and Hurricanes will be able to be flown on the Channel map, but they never were used there historically. And the 109E-1/E-3/F-1 and Spit I/II/Va never flew in the Desert, so it makes no sense to build a mission on the Tobruk map which includes them.

I was hoping the Wimpy would be flyable on the channel Map.
