Wilhelm_Heidkamp Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 I've seen that with the only antialiasing option available in the game (4x MSAA) 3D models don't look as good as they should, especially on the edges of polygons with transparent textures, such as cockpits, windows and so on (no wires). I've tried this profile of Nvidia Inspector: And I got these captures (no retouching, only reduction of the size from the original 2560*1600). I believe that there is an improvement in the union of the glass or Plexiglas with frames. There is a significant loss of performance with planes on the ground when the view is directed to wooded areas, where there are also many transparent textures where the TSSAA x8 is applied. Which should indicate that he's acting. What do you think? Does anyone know if this type of antialiasing is compatible with the game or not? Thank you in advance. Spoiler
Wilhelm_Heidkamp Posted August 6, 2018 Author Posted August 6, 2018 (edited) Yes, I'm reasonably sure is working and moreover, it affects performance. These pics are with MSAA x8 (instead of x4 from original game) + TSSAA x8: Check transparent textures antialiasing. Edited August 6, 2018 by PA_Willy 1
JonRedcorn Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 Fuck me that's just incredible. Transparency AA should mostly effect the 2d sprites the most. Like you said trees and whatnot.
