JGr2/J34b_Matthias Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 (edited) I set up two airfields using the fakefield entity and set up player planes to spawn in there for a multiplayer mission. Problem: When I go in and select the planes on the fields I get a third party view of them stuck spawned in the ground instead of being in thr cockpit as normal.... I have them set to taxi or runway starts. Neither works. I made sure I leveled the airfield entity to the ground level as well. Update: I did verify that I have "su" set in the Season Prefix in the mission editor and it's still doing it. Update2: Verified that player is indeed immediately killed when entering via messages. Suggestions? Edited July 27, 2018 by J5_Matthias
JGr2/J34b_Matthias Posted July 27, 2018 Author Posted July 27, 2018 (edited) Nevermind I figured it out... this is really odd. The Kuban map equires the winter prefix of "wi" in the .mission file in order for the aircraft at airfields to spawn correctly, when using any Kuban season. The "su" prefix appears to be totally bugged. So mission builders beware! Edited July 27, 2018 by J5_Matthias 1
TP_Silk Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 If you use the 'Wi' seasonal prefix with Summer, Spring or Autumn maps you will end up bugging the missions. Just make sure that all of your map seasons match and then use the 'Set on Ground' command from the toolbars to fix your issue. 1

Again. Reverting to wi prefix. Works perfectly.
TP_Silk Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 (edited) That is very odd and all I can think is that possible one of your other seasonal settings in out of whack to make that happen. Usually when the rest of the map is set to Summer/Autumn/Spring and the Season is set to 'Wi' it causes the player planes to explode on the ground as soon as a player tries to spawn in. There are three places that you need to select the correct seasonal settings. I'm not anywhere near my games PC just now, but will edit this post later with the info (unless someone else provides it of course). EDIT: The three components that need to match up are: Terrain Presets GUI Map Season Edited July 27, 2018 by TP_Silk Add info

Did you go from: SeasonPrefix = "wi"; to SeasonPrefix = ""; or did you go from: SeasonPrefix = "wi"; to SeasonPrefix = "su"; If the later, then something maybe bugged with your seasons as @TP_Silk suggested. Otherwise, try "su" if you haven't already.
