Hi,

I am new to IL2 and I only have the BOK module. When I launched the mission editor exe, I do not see the Kuban map loaded. Can someone help me with this.

Please go here and download and read the manual @JimTM created.

And/or watch @FFS_Vapor's mission editor tutorials here:

Also... Why open the mission editor? Are you attempting to create a mission, or are you wanting a quick mission? If the latter, the game itself has a very simple quick mission builder.

Thanks for the links!

To answer your question, the quick mission builder seems limited for max planes (8) and starting locations.

For example, I want to create a mission where I have the following:

  • 8 enemy bombers attack docked naval ships (about 5) at a harbor, as well as buildings at the same harbor (or perhaps supply trucks).
  • 4 - 8 enemy escort fighters
  • 8 friendly fighters launching from a nearby airbase (or starting in the air) to intercept the bombers

The majority of my custom missions will involve naval ships (either attacking or defending).

Also, the built in missions involve too much flying to get to the action (for my time constraints when I am able to play). I want to create missions where I am already at (or very close to) the action from the start that involve more scenarios than what the quick mission builder allows.

Cool cool... Well then, I recommend reading the manual and going through some of the videos I posted. If you have questions after that, hit us up.
