Skipper- Posted July 20, 2018 Posted July 20, 2018 Every time I try to start a custom third party campaign, I am returned to the Briefing page for that campaign and the campaign does not start. This happens in EVERY third party campaign. Do I need to wait for a patch or is there a trick to get them working? Thanks.
Gambit21 Posted July 20, 2018 Posted July 20, 2018 Mission format change by the devs. Most or all should be converted soon.
Skipper- Posted July 20, 2018 Author Posted July 20, 2018 Brilliant, thanks Gambit. If I'm an impatient person, is this the right way to do it myself? 1. remove .msnbin files from mission folder 2. open .mission in editor 3. save .mission in editor

In the editor click the "Tools" tab - there's a re-save folder option - browse the folder you want and re-save it, the drawback is it takes a few minutes to re-save each folder but seems to get you there with three clicks so...... JHinman Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 It seems like when there is a major update the 3rd party scripted campaigns do not load. One of the posts said this will be resolved. Will I need to redownload and reinstall the campaigns? Seems strange the 3rd party ones do not work but the ones made by the company still do... Also sometimes the updates make PWCG stop working (not this time though). Why?
Gambit21 Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 Well so far I cant' get my A-20 campaign to load properly in the new build no matter what I do.
taffy2jeffmorgan Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 This would be useful for those who are not too sure of where to go and what to open and as suggested to me by gn 728 I followed the following paths- Pc/pro files[x86]/Ic studios/IL-2 Battle of Moscow/bin/editor/STE editor, exe, you will see at top of page "Tools" / click and select " resave all missions in folder " You will then be shown your local computer disc C files, / follow the path/pro files[86]/Ic studios/IL-2 Battle of Moscow/data/campaigns/select mission and click OK The STE editor exe will start to reset and reinstall your mission, this will take about 15-20 minutes, then go into game and you will find that your mission will now load correctly. Good Luck 3 1
Sonntagskind Posted August 4, 2018 Posted August 4, 2018 Hi there, I tried to apply the "resave all missions in folder" trick to the custom campaign "VeteranenCampaign -- JG51 over Velikie Luki". However, the missions in the custom campaign still do not start (neither do those in the custom missions folder). Additionally, I found that there are no .mission files in the respective folder. Opening the .msnbin files in the mission editor did not work as well - an error message was displayed saying that the mission could not be opened... I guess I have to wait until an update of the campaign files is available.

taffy2jeffmorgan Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 I have just downloaded and installed " Vet Campaign JG 51 and your right, for some reason the solution i suggested will not work on this campaign ? ' All my 3rd party scripted campaigns [ Fire and Ice, Taman Bridgehead,Lost Hope,All most and Fortress Stalingrad ] would not work after the last big update, but after following what was originally suggested in a posting by GN 728 they all work correctly, but that JG 51 will not, which is a mystery ? let me know if you have any success.
