Sea Dragons - Mission 3 - repeatable crash to desktop

Every time I press 'Start' on the Briefing page for Mission 3 in the Sea Dragons campaign, the game crashes to desktop.

The two errors below are from the Windows Event Viewer from the last two attempts to start the mission.
Any help would be much appreciated as I cannot progress. All other payware campaigns have worked flawlessly and I have tried with and without mods installed, including Reshade.

I have the same problem...trying a reinstall now to see if it fixes it...it was working i played the mission a few times and failed...upon restarting the mission today it wont work...

I also reinstalled the game, tried with and without mods, but it crashes EVERY time that I try to start mission 3..

@BlackSix - come in BlackSix, you're our only hope.. Is it possible to skip this mission somehow?
