Hi I place my plane on runway right altitude (place on ground)  but when I run the mission Im always killed....

The usual cause of this is incorrect combination of setting for the map. Make sure that all of your map settings align. For instance if you have the Stalingrad Summer map you need to make sure that the GUI map is also Stalingrad Summer and the season is set to Summer. If all of those are already correct then try re-setting your cloud formations.

Yes I think the same, thank, I will try, but this M.E. is very hard with respect to DCS....

for one player on Il2 there are 100 on DCS, and this ist the reason....

See "Player Enters Plane and Is Kicked Out or Plane Is Destroyed or Goes Underground" on pg. 186 of the mission editor manual.

Note: Open the .mission file in an advanced text editor such as NotePad++ (free download).

This is a no sniveling zone. If you have a question then ask, and we'll happily assist.

DCS is an incoherent, incomplete. mess - the end.

As far as editors go, all it takes is a bit of dedication at first to get you over the hump.

You're right, without controversy, I've always been a supporter of Il2 in various versions, just came out a new extension are always and I'll be the first to buy. However, the mission editor for users who do not have much time to spend unlike DCS is much less intuitive and discourages users who do not have much time to spend. Remember that I love Il2 in good that in evil. Bye

Less intuitive at first, but after you get over the hump - much more powerful. ;)

Or try opening the .mission file, go down to the SEASON PREFIX area and make sure in agrees with your season.

\SeasonPrefix = "su"; or "wi"

The screenshot shows the Lapino-Summer GUI map in use while the season is set to Winter. This is one of the main causes of player aircraft exploding when entering game. If it cannot be permanently changed in the Mission Editor, then do as 1./JG54_Schneemann advises above and edit it in Notepad or Notepad++ to match the gui map.

I can't get the Kuban Autumn pre-set to stick at all.

In the editor it reverts to Lapino - no such issue with Kuban Summer.

I tried Kuban Autumn and it stuck in my editor. Did you try resetting the editor? Do you get the same problem when you create a new mission, before placing anything?

Yep, brand new clean mission, it won't 'stick...reverts to Lapino Summer with no airfield textures.

I just loaded my Kuban template and autumn loaded fine. What a bizarre issue...

The order I do things is that I usually set the Terrain Preset, ignore the save, set the GUI Map then set the Season and give the mission a title then save it. Anything like weather, mission type etc I leave until after that.
