xThrottle_Geek Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Just trying to teach myself the absolute basics. I can create a MP mission and spawn as long as I place a specific Player A/C down. However, I'm unable so far to get the MP spawn point (fakefield) to work.. any suggestions to point me in the correct direction? Also, does it still need to be the Deathmatch type? Becasue it seems cooperative is working now... Thanks in advance
CountZero Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 From what you say you are hosting your mission in cooperative mode and it works. To use fakefield (spawn points) you need to save mission as deathmatch and host it in dogfight mode. cooperative mode alows you to have MP mission where players can only spawn in AI airplanes you alow to be taken, and only one life and airplane per mission. dogfight mode (deathmatch) is where you should use spawn points (fakefields) in MP to alow players to spawn from places you put thouse spawn points over, and players can respawn again and again with other airplanes.

See: - "Help Pilots Find an Airbase and a Runway" (pg. 56), which mentions bonfires and landlights (different from searchlights) - "Create Target Defences" (pg. 125), which mentions searchlights - "Make Areas Smoke Due to Damage" (pg. 130), which mentions larger fires - "Make a Chimney Smoke" (pg. 52), which mentions a small smoke effect Enjoy!
