Version notes V0.46:

(I'm releasing this "hot-fix" since i'm still trying to find the time to complete version 0.5)

*This version of the mod does not require MODS ON MODE.

Pilot #1: 75% Complete (with place-holders for the rest of the audio files)

Pilot #2  100% Complete 

ATC#1: 100% Complete

But, where is v0.46? File name on Mediafire link says v0.45 since forever...

the name of the currently released version is 4.5 not 4.6 (i've already changed the OP accordingly)

Salutations,

 

As declared in the initial post, the mod should work in Multiplayer.

hmmm so can i make my hangar mod like that.

Im curious how its working with mods off.
i know the sound files have been there in folder long before mods on.
_High
_med
_Low.
And so on also the stuka Siren (which i tried to fix long ago to no avail)

Logically, it can work with mods off by actually 'replacing' game files in the data folder.

 

Before loading said mod or mods one should back up the original files or folders.

Luckily for us, the files that this mod replaces are not encrypted. so it works in Mods OFF mode.

Very happy to inform that this new version (0.47) is working flawlessly. Still don't know why the 0.45 didn't work, perhaps some glitch on files during download (tried 3 times, but maybe the browser cache played a part, who knows?).

Just want to say thank you to everyone who has worked on this mod. Without either Russian or German the original was impossible, and I hate having to watch the chat box.

 

In the most recent version version I very much like the voices  - previous versions with American accents seemed a bit intrusive when playing German, although the mod was still excellent, the current ones are ideal.

 

The only downside to the mod is that I now actually have to listen to the endless landing chatter instead of just tuning it out....

This is working for me but I can barely hear it over the noise of the plane.

 

Using rift, mods on. Couldn't get it to work with JSMG. Had to replace the files.

 

Thanks though. If anybody knows how to adjust the volumes let me know.

hmm thats wierd, i actually made the voices very loud. try testing in a QM full of enemy planes and allied planes (4 flights of4); furhter planes have more static and quieter voices

Maybe it's the new engine sounds that just got updated? I read they just did something to them. They do sound a little different. But I could be wrong.

I just tried it and it works just fine. i'm running steam version, are you?

Yes I am running steam VR. I can hear them fine at low RPM ( sitting on runway) but when the plane is flying it is really difficult to hear what they are saying. I have to turn on the HUD to read the messages. I can hear the the stock messages OK. 

 

Is anyone having the same issue? Or am I just getting old......

 

I read that 3.005/3.005(c) did increase the sound of the planes.

I am having no difficulty hearing them at all: then again I am not in VR, perhaps the helmet is muffling the voice frequencies?  I certainly would not want the sound balanced changed in my version. 

 

Pity BoX does not allow for players to mix their own sound balance using sliders for engine, guns, voices, wind and explosions, as most PC games allow.

Maybe being muffled. Not sure. Be nice to turn up the sounds that are supposed to be coming through the headset. Wouldn't that be the case in real life anyway???

IDK why you're sounds are muffled, they should sound like int eh video on the OP. maybe try downloading the file with a different browser and reinstalling the mod.

HELLO

i  switched on MOD and tried installing this mod but it cut out the chatter entirely . I then removed it and i still cannot hear the default chatter ,any help would be appreciated in getting my sound back .

Sorry to hear that, did you use JSGME  or manual install?

i dont use JSGME . i replaced the default with this one , then i realized i should'nt have done that and opened a mod folder and placed separately . any idea on how to get back the default to work ?  actually my objective was to replace the default  German language that does'nt sound German at all to me .

If youre using steam then you can delete the files from the original folder and the mod folder and use Steams Verify game files feature. otherwise you must redownoad the game (this is why its recommended to backup files or using JSGME). 

 

I havent had the time to try the mod with the latest patch, the mod might have been rendered useless. so, maybe thats why the mod doesnt work at all

right-click on the game on your steam libray--->properties--->Local Files--->Verify integrity of game files

I´m going to do a german gunner on the weekend. I did the same role for the german Voice Pack and it was liked. I cant do it accent free though.

Hi, do you still need more voice actors? I’m a Dutchman, but I my accent isn’t particularly strong. I guess it could work for a German? And if not, I think there were Dutch volunteers in the German military anyway. ;)

There are two lists that don’t completely correspond, so depending on which one is correct I guess German Pilot #1 or German Pilot #4 looks interesting (they’re probably the same lines anyway), unless you’d rather have more gunners.
