Good news, keep it up.

Awesome news! The P39 looks fantastic and the metal one is beyond my dreams.

The oil tweaks are great. I wonder if in the future they will implement the oil splashing in the wind shield, the equivalent effects of the new rain. The lack of visibility with the oil would be VERY challenging.   :pioneer:

Thanks Devs for the DD. You made my day! I just love it.  :friends:

Really looking forward to trying the P39 and Yak 7B, even more than the La 5FN and G6.

They even have made a historic skin for the P39 with my number on it...

If you dont give any eta you have problems with something

Absolutely not. Quite the contrary, it is the giving of ETAs or release dates that causes problems, particularly with software development.

This is why this "early access without an actual hard release date" format is actually a very good thing with the industry: it allows developers to essentially say "it's ready when it's ready" it flex on time instead of quality (and scope, hopefully).

Sadly, when it comes to mainstream video game industry (unlike the very narrow niche we inhabit), sales/marketing/distribution plays a major role in the game lifecycle, which results in hard deadlines proliferating. This directly results in a large number of gaming disasters throughout the years.

Given this, when a game dev actually waits until the last minute to even unveil their game and give a tentative release date, I tend to be more hopeful.

So...mid February it is, then. :)

I`m kidding. Thanks for the update, it`s my kind of read. Good luck with your work.

Excellent update! Thank you! Looking forward to trying out the P-39. First thing, even before firing the guns will be to throw it into a flat spin at 3,000m and hold on tight! I wonder how close/different it will be from the first iteration of it in the original IL-2.

The 'problem' may well be the fact that some of their customers are rabid lunatics who will set things on fire if 1C/777 misses the ETA by 3 minutes.

LOL. You've described all flight-sim customers. On the plus side, rabid lunatics usually spend mucho $$.

The ETA is winter 2018.

Deal with it (not directed at you).

We will see it in early March... Be sure!

Very different, the first/release FM of the Oleg Il-2 series required holding back on the joystick to keep the plane just in the air until something like 160km/h was achieved. The FM wasn't any good until the v4.0 FM.

Mid February: 28 days : 2 = 14 of February.

Hey! Valentine's Day. :)

But seriously, I am really looking forward to the rain effect on the canopy.

I think it will look great when flying the Aunt Ju over Kuban through rain showers with strong wind.

Great update, I like they are improving the systems simulation of the planes towards more realistic, if they do one plane , most likely all of them will receive the same treatment, they wont release a more detailed model of just one plane.

Lets go already with this update, Im leaving in 2 months and wont be able to be on a computer for 6 months after that
I understand the need for a proper work but damn, I was hoping to be able to play a bit before leaving.  Well.... if anything, itl be better 8 months later.

This is true. It will just take some time and probably be worked in when possible. I can already see the hate posts ranting about 109s and 190s being discriminated against in some way lol.

Those P-39 skins look flippin' fantastic! I have been waiting for this bird since they announced the IL-2 reboot with the Battle of Stanlingrad - I can't believe that the long awaited day is about to arrive!  :cray: (tears of joy there  :) )

I have a feeling that developers are fine-tuning P39' FM, just to make sure to avoid repetition of initial P40 situation. That's nice, but the time can be a strong preference... I have an urge to play with something new at this point; a better fidelity could follow later.

Still a great update and a new wallpaper for me. :)

Looks awesome!

I'm very much looking forward to trying the new aircraft and especially the new campaign system.

I am so impressed when I see artisans in the real life.

Just with their hands (and feet sometimes!), they do amazing crafting, creations.

Petrovich is the same for me, a highly talented and skilled digital artisan.

I just wish we can clone him!!!

Thank you for all theses features...

This is why I love your products: there is an outstanding craftsmanship, It is so scarce in this industry...

I am just speechless!

8. New flaps functionality:

8.1 Flaps pneumatic valve can be set to the neutral position instead of retracting position, making the flaps retract by air flow pressure instead of a sharp retracement.

8.2 An incorrect flaps behavior, while pushed back by the air flow pressure, has been addressed.

That's great, can't wait to see what that will be like in game then. Looking forward the oil viscosity thing, too. Love seeing you paying attention to these kind of details!

Great about high fidelity and potential to implement to all other planes.

'Details matter, it's worth waiting to get it right.'

I agree, I think it looks even better than the initial shots in the Mc202.

It's hard to tell in a static image, im sure it really stands out in movement.

Must be the improved reflection rendering?

I'm unclear if it's just a rendering improvement, or rendering along with materials improvement (they are typically intertwined)...in any case things are looking very nice.
