DetCord12B Posted September 28, 2021 Author Posted September 28, 2021 Reinstalled F4 with a whole slew of amazing mods. Not disappointing. On 9/22/2021 at 11:54 AM, Semor76 said: Micro$oft Bug Simulator 2020: I worked on the FSX/P3D version. It was a mess then... 1
Bremspropeller Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 Taken the new Felis 747-200 for a couple of rides. Northwest Orient taking off at Kansas City for a charter to Anchorage. Shortly before the Top of Descent. I hadn't initially anticipated a flight to PANC, so the fuel was kind of a stretch. I landed with 3t of gas left. That's about what one engine takes per hour in cruise... Reso'Cha inbound to Tokyo Haned from Honololu. The Super Resort Charter flights do really swarm into Hawaii during the holiday season. I remember counting 10 or 12 japanese 747s and DC-10 at the same time at HNL back in '95. Turning into the localizer at HND. Haneda used to be Tokyo's only airport, before the new international airport was built in the 70s. It was a political affair that provoced stark reactions by the people living in the area, including terrorism. With most international travel going to narita, haneda became a domestic and regional-continental airport for the most part. Touching down on runway 15L, which has me taxi all the way around to the JAL terminal. At the gate. Preparing for a nother trip to one of Japan's standard resort-destinations (including Guam and Okinawa). Pushback for a domestic flight from Haneda to Oaska-Itami. Starting ENG #1. Ready for departure in JAL's old old livery. Airbourne! The take-off weight is rather low, despite a full house of passengers. The Felis 747 only allows me 388 passengers, but the shrt-range configured 747SRs used by ANA and JAL will offer over 500 seats in an all economy pitch. The later 747-400D could accommodate over 600 passengers. On climbout. Tokyo bay is in the background. We're cruising low today at FL280, but as we have to make up for some delays, we're hauling the mail at M 0.87 on our short trip today. Short final into Itami. Touchdown at sunset. Even the long runway isn't too long for a 747. I'm usung max reverse and I cancel the autobrakes early as not to risk high brake-temperatures, delaying our return to Tokyo later this evening.

Only a 747 with an Ed Force One livery is a true 747.

DetCord12B Posted October 15, 2021 Author Posted October 15, 2021 Started modding F4 for whatever reason. Boredom perhaps, in-between jobs and all that with nothing but time and 3DS/Substance to keep me occupied. Making Fallout as obnoxiously tactical as I can, with some custom Red Sox assets/motivation for the upcoming Division series.

Alexmarine Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 Operational phase screens from Graviteam Tactics: Mius Front End of an operation... And start of the next one... One can barely grasp the intensity that the actual tactical battles can reach in the game from just the maps, but each movement and unit rotation/reinforcement/disbandment taken in this phase can be critical when battalions and companies start to clash... 1 1
Alexmarine Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 Despite still having many operations to play through (I just had recently started a battle of the Mareth line scenario playing as the Germans trying to contain a British offensive), today the Graviteam Team released their first Iran-Iraq war scenario for Mius Front depicting an Iranian combined arms offensive against entrenched mechanised Iraqi troops I gave a quick view at the first Iraqi scenario operational situation: I'll definitely play it this coming weekend when I'll have some free time, l hope my T-62 and ATGMs will be enough to stop the Iranian onslaught
Alexmarine Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 Finally had some Iran-Iraq War time... Compared to WW2 scenarios, Cold War scenarios are a bloodbath due to the sheer firepower available...

Unfortunate that the direction is dumbing down the things that have defined ARMA for well over a decade just to shoehorn it onto a console for the lames. I've been playing singleplayer and with units since Arma 2 and I find this mindset towards the new engine hilarious. Everything is still there, now its just not janky as hell behind scroll wheel menus and annoying key combos, its behind context sensitive buttons. Its the same stuff just FAR more intiutive and it actually plays like a game made in the past decade. Its not dumbed down at all. Incomplete yes but thats the point of releasing Reforger as early access. "Inferior controls" LOL get out of here. Arma had one of the worst control schemes of any game in my library. Just because you were used to it doesn't mean it was good, It wasn't. Not even close. That ancient, god awful engine has been holding back Arma for a decade. I'll be happy to see it go. I'll miss the plethora of community made content, but thats exactly what Reforger is here to help give a head start. For once the future of Arma is actually looking incredibly bright. As usual, people will complain about anything new, especially if they haven't even played it. Typical. 3
