Where in the world is...

I'm sure everyone here can place Moscow on the world map and most pilots here certainly know where Kuban is. But do you know where the Velikie Luki  map is? What about Novosokolniki? And then there is Lapino... I for one wasn't even sure if it was real, let alone where it is!
 
A while ago I put the Rise of Flight maps onto an image of Europe. And, I figured that I'd do it again for IL-2:BoX. However, this time I decided to make it interactive, so you can drag and zoom the map about and get a better idea of where our virtual battles are taking place.

You can click on the regions and the name of the map will appear at the top of the page. You can click/drag the background map to deselect the region and move things around. Mouse-wheel and icon zoom is implemented too.

* The geographical features of Lapino are real, but most of the towns, roads and railways there are fictitious. All other maps have real detail.

I fixed a problem with HTTP security. No-one should get security warnings any more.

 

I have also included on the site and option to switch on/off the map labels.
