International Coconut Co-Op Campaign

We would like to introduce you a new kind of dynamic Co-Op campaign on the server of Coconut.

The objective of this event is to be able to fulfill coordinate missions under quantitative balance.

It will be a locked event so you will need to sign up for a slot.

Rules of participation:

 

1. Maximum of active participants on each side is 8;

 

2. A quorum of 50/50 of ground attackers(bomber/Jabo) and fighters should be obtained on each side;

 

3. Whenever the mission is hold a balancing of +/-1 between red and blue should be obtained between each side;

 

4. You must be registered on the event;

 

5. To be on our Team Speak in the side choosen;

 

6. We can sign-up more then necessary but a rotation of some pilots, even element, will be required after each mission;

 

7. If you are shot down/bailed out/ditched on airfield/engine dead you have to do rotation with other member waiting;

 

8. No chute-killing;

 

9. No base camping;

 

For SACG only:

10. Dead is dead mission only (don't forget that you can see your stats on the website of Coconut);

 

11. If you are shot down/bailed out over enemy territory you must fulfill your combat AAR before entering again on a plane;

We have two options to run the event :

 

  1. A event of 3 hours of 2 sessions of 90 minutes, would be a sign-up for example 20h00 London and another at 21h30 London. We all know that mission have an average of 45 minutes if we are not doing high level bombing. So each session you can make a rotation of players between the 2 missions of the session.
  2. A event of 2 hours  with a session of 90 minutes.

Particularities

  • For purpose of coordinating the missions each element on each side will be under a reserved channel connected by whisper settings;
  • On each side we will have a ''Marshall'' commander (active player) to coordinate the objective and the different element;
  • A consensus will be obtained between AXIS and VVS to acknowledge the area of attack (2 sectors side-by-side) to prevent...ninja attack....;
  • You doesn't need to be part of a squad but you must accept to fly inside the command of a squad or leader element. You must be able to fly in cooperation and there is no lone-wolfing;

Since the 4./JG52 have already made training event with the 216th during mid-week we will be pleased if they would like to take care of the ground attack element.

Nous souhaitons démarrer un nouveau type de campagne dynamique  en Co-Op sur le serveur de Coconut.

Règles de participation:
 
1. Le maximum de participants actifs de chaque côté est de 8;
 
2. Un quorum de 50/50 d'attaquants au sol (bombardier / Jabo) et de fighter doit être obtenu de chaque côté;
 
3. Durant la mission un équilibre de +/- 1 entre chaque côté doit être obtenu;

6. On peut inscrire plus que nécessaire, mais une rotation de certains pilotes, même élément entier, sera nécessaire après chaque mission;
 
7. Si vous êtes abattu / parachuté / crash-landing sur l'aérodrome / moteur mort, vous deverez faire la rotation avec un autre membre qui est en attente;
 
8. Pas de chute-killingr;
 
9. Pas de base-camping ( tourner autour de l'aéroport ennemi);
 
Pour SACG uniquement:
10. Dead is dead mission seulement (n'oubliez pas que vous pouvez voir vos statistiques sur le site de Coconut);
 
11. Si vous êtes abattu dans le territoire ennemi, vous devez remplir votre AAR de combat avant de prendre un autre avion;

Nous avons deux options pour exécuter l'événement:
 
  • Un événement de 3 heures impliquant 2 sessions de 90 minutes, donc une inscription pour 20h00 Londres et une autre à 21h30 Londres. Nous savons tous que une mission a une moyenne de 45 minutes si on exclut le bombardement de haut niveau. Donc, chaque session, vous pouvez faire une rotation des joueurs entre les 2 missions de la session.
  • Un événement de 2 heures avec une session de 90 minutes.

 

Les particularités

 

Afin de coordonner les missions, chaque élément de chaque côté ira dans un canal réservé ayant des paramètres de chuchotement;
De chaque côté, nous aurons un commandant '' Marshall '' (joueur actif) pour coordonner l'objectif et les différents éléments;
Un consensus sera obtenu entre AXIS et VVS pour décider la zone d'attaque (2 secteurs côte à côte sur la carte) pour éviter de jouer au chat et la souris..;
Vous n'avez pas besoin de faire partie d'une escadrille, mais vous devez accepter de voler à l'intérieur de la chaine de commandement de l'escadrille attitré à la mission. Vous devez savoir voler en coopération. Pas de lone-wolf...soloiste !

Une petite question : que veut dire remplir son AAR ?

Connaissant les missions de Coconut c'est un évènement dont l'intérêt est manifeste.

En général ici (en EU) les missions démarrent à 19 h UTC.

C'est à dire en heure locale en France 21 h, donc 15 h en heure locale à Montreal.

Ce qui voudrait dire que ce serait plus jouable en week end d'un côté et de l'autre.

C'est à dire en heure locale en France 21 h, donc 15 h en heure locale à Montreal.

Un AAR est After Action Report que nous remplissons( Simulated Air Combat Group) apres chaque mission car nous jouons avec la regle Dead is Dead.

Pour l'heure locale je vise + ou - 21h France pour premiere session et la seconde session 22h30 France donc 16h30 Mtl NY.

 

 

Pour la fin de semaine nous avons une campagne sur la carte de Kuban le Samedi 19h00 France qui est une campagne inter-escadrille. Je crois t'en avoir parlé déjà.

Bref plus d'info sur cette activité cette semaine je t'enverai un courrier.

In VVS NA timezone if able

Thank you Banzai, right now we will find a good day between Tuesday to Thursday to get this event working.

Our first though will be first session (mostly EU) 21h London so 15h N.Y. and second session 22h30 London and 16h30 N.Y..

 

Each session should be of 90 minutes.

Definitely interested, will ask within the 216'th - let you know tonight! (in general: I'm in for a seat in any bomber)

I am confused. Is 20:00 London time not 22:00 here in Germany? Missed the first hour unfortunately because I thought so. Nevertheless, was a lot of fun to "interact" with the ground battle at Plesovsky. Please let this go on so we can see the results of our actions. Thx to Many and Coconut!

Had fun, got excellent fighter cover, but still got shot down by coconut. (N.b. coconut was my rear gunner) and I managed to get my revenge by crashing my ju88 with him inside.

Yes, has been a good fun and here a bomber get's a fair share. Bombing a factory is worth as much as shooting down aircraft, nice!

ground attack: the VVS did a good job at softening the attack, destroying 50% of it (the maximum possible). however that did not stop the axis from capturing plesovskiy

 

i'm also attaching the detailed results, in xml format. when my hand and typing capabilities are back to 100% i'll post better AAR.

 

Manu, i suppose we are doing that again next week, same time?

 

although there was no lag, a few people had repeated disconnects. next week i'll shut down the normal server and the stat sites, maybe that will help. there is a good chance we ran into the 20 connections limit of windows.

OK, I will go ahead with the announcement, then.

 

You are hereby invited to participate in the next mission of the dynamic campaign. Please register by posting in this thread.

 

The first mission will take place on the 10th of october, 1900 GMT (same as last week). It will last 15 + 90 minutes. The first 15 minutes are for logging in and giving mission objectives.

 

The second session will take place the same day at 2100 New York time (suggestion). The state of the campaign in this session will depend on the first mission, and I can therefore not post it in advance.

 

There are 8 slots on each side, 4 bombers and 4 fighters. Please indicate the desired side and role when registering. To keep things balanced, we will limit the side with largest number of players so that the difference is at most 2 players. People who are in excess (the last ones to register) have the option to join the other side. If you are flexible about the side you want to fly, please say so when registering.

 

The mission will only be run if we get a minimum of 4 players on each side. Please register by Monday evening-ish so that we can decide on cancellation and announce it Tuesday morning.
