NETSCAPE Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 Out of curiosity does the game take into account the Train's top speed based on the amount of cargo it is hauling? Does anyone know the trains max speed? It would be nice to know to calculate when things will "meet" rather than doing multiple tests over and over.
NETSCAPE Posted September 2, 2017 Author Posted September 2, 2017 I set some objects up at intervals of 10 meters to measure the distance it takes for the train to stop. This can be useful to make the train at a station more visually pleasing. I concluded it takes the train aprox 100 meters to come to a stop, that is of course 100 meters past the last waypoint being hit.

I created a small table of train speed vs. distance of waypoint before stop point on pg. 70 of the editor manual. Hopefully the data is still valid.
