WWGeezer Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 Here is what I experienced 1. If I loaded the missions on my hard drive and launched on my own computer, the missions worked fine 2. If I loaded the missions on our dedicated server, than I got file transfer errors 3. If i replaced the list file and deleted the funky looking line.....filename="multiplayer/cooperative/synmedia/notepaper.jpg","dfca89b7"....than the dedicated server could load the mission The list file is hunting for this file and normally you might need to find it and add it to the dserver to get it to load ( like with special sound files) but I can't find the file and am wondering if it is an error, especially with the notepaper.jpg name on it. PS....might as well go get a beer when these are loading....a full 2 minutes for me.
SYN_Vander Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 Must have goofed up. I changed the path to the media in the missions, but maybe it didn’t update the .list file. Sigh....I’ll make sure it works this time.
SYN_Vander Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 Found the problem. This time I forgot the media file (the jpg). Here is a new version: SYN_Cooperative_Kuban_v3.zip
SYN_Vander Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Six? Oh, that last one isn’t finished. Please ignore ?
BlitzPig_EL Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Ran through all of them last night, all work now. Well done.
SYN_Vander Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Added the sixth mission. SYN_Cooperative_Kuban_v4.zip
SYN_Vander Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Updated, now including 8 missions. SYN_Cooperative_Kuban_v8.zip
=621=Samikatz Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 What planes are available in the new missions? Haven't had chance to test them yet, but I want to know if they're playable with my friends who don't have Kuban
SYN_Vander Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Don't know by heart, but changing planes in a coop mission with the mission editor is really, really easy. Well, don't change bomber types because they are finnicky with amount of fuel and taxiing, but fighters you can change.
SYN_Vander Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 (edited) I fixed some bugs (mission not loading properly) in the first couple of missions. Please overwrite all existing mission files. @=621=Samikatz Look for the group named "Fighters Allied" and "Fighters Axis" and there you will find 6 fighter planes that you can change. The "Blue" section are fighter bombers (P-40, P-39 currently), so they should have bombs, the " Yellow" section is for escort (P-39, Spitfire, Yak, La5 currently). =621=Samikatz Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Is it as simple as swapping the models or do I have to re-set up any target/obj links?

Okay, here is how to do it: 1) Open Mission editor. Mine is situated here: C:\Program Files (x86)\1C Game Studios\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\bin\editor\STEditor.exe 2) Open the mission you want to change. Example: My Coop missions are situated here: C:\Program Files (x86)\1C Game Studios\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\Multiplayer\Cooperative See attached picture for further instructions. If you only change the plane type, the new plane will have default skins etc. Loadout maybe different so optionally you can change that as well.
=621=Samikatz Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Wow, that's even more straight forwarded than I was thinking. Will definitely try it, thank you!
SYN_Vander Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 Latest (and probably final) addition to the Syndicate Coop Kuban campaign! 10 Missions in total now. Please overwrite all existing files as I have updated them all. SYN_Cooperative_Kuban_v10.zip 1
DD_Arthur Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 Thank you very much Vander for your work creating these. We've been enjoying them a great deal
Recon Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 thank you so much for these missions. I'm new to coops. I have 2 questions: 1. How do I start these on my local machine to try them out - individually or with a friend ? 2. How do I run these on our dedicated server ? Are there any special instructions for running on latest 3.00x version ? Thank you!
WWGeezer Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 I have been working my way thru these COOP files, making some modifications. I noticed that mission 6 has a .bak file that none of the other missions have? What is this file for?
WWGeezer Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 Answered my own question. When you delete the .msnb file and resave the mission to be compatible with the most recent version of the game, the .bak file goes away
Alonzo Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 Hi there, I'm having trouble loading the missions using the latest (3.006) version of the ME. I'm very noob to the editor. It just says it can't load them. Is this a version compatibility problem? Thanks!

It looks like there has been an update of the ME that changed the binary version of the mission file (*.msnbin). This can happen every now and then. To fix this, simply delete all the .msnbin files and open the missions in the ME -or in the game. Beware, that the first time the mission loads it will take a long time, but after save it will regenerate the binary version so next time load times will be normal again. Anyway, I will fix these missions and upload a new version. P.S. There is also an option under " tools" in the ME to convert all .msnbin files in a folder to the new format. JGr2/J5_W0LF- Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Any chance you can make a couple of 3 players or more coop missions with the P-47. I would like to use these with my squadron and I enjoy the SYN missions. Thanks mate!

May it shows you how to change or add planes to these coops in the mission editor. It's not difficult - I mean, it can't be if I can do it - and my squad uses these excellent coops all the time.
WWGeezer Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 (edited) I wanted to give a very belated thank you to Vandy for his ten coop missions. I have modified them to line up with out squad's needs and they are providing many weeks of entertainment. I did a few things. 1. Changed the flights to Gold, Red, Blue to match our normal flight names 2. Increased the flights typically to 4 aircraft each so you can fly 12 vs 12 3. Added a White Flight with 4 more aircraft that stay on the ground if no one takes the lead spot so we could go 16 vs 16 if attendance is high. 4. Changed the missions to have a progression of weather, goes from clear to stormy and back to clear again ( and added a ten day forcast). 5. Changed the plane sets slightly to make sure everyone in the squad owns the aircraft. 6. Added a lot of cameras at key locations, Coop's can be boring when you die, but as a squad we find them good for training and squad moral when you can watch others complete their mission ( Nothing better to improve your skills when 14 people are watching you land). We consider these great missions for squad versus squad scrimmaging or just as a COOP for our squad only. Typically we fly two coops a night, then fly it again from the opposite side the following week. We set the SDS files up with two instances of each mission because it is traditional in our squad to allow one "mulligan" if a few people loose their aircraft on take off. Here are some of the training materials we put together to go with them. Thought Vandy might enjoy seeing his work being extended. Edited January 26, 2019 by WWGeezer error 1
DD_Mobius_One Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 Hi all! are these up to date?? Thank you for the hard work

Thank you for the hard work I don't think so, you would at least have to resave the .mission to .msbin format. Alternatively, you can now generate similar missions using this tool: Edited December 6, 2020 by SYN_Vander
DD_Mobius_One Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 Thanks Vander! I have had the generator for a while now. Just thought i'd try your hand built stuff. Thanks again!!!
