Spectacular! I'm really looking forward to this campaign.

As I thought I would only continue to fly MP, I didn´t buy "10 days". After I switched to VR, I tried the first scripted campaign (free Butcher) and really began to enjoy those scripted campaigns.

So I got "10 days" now and preordered "Blazing Steppe" !

That last screen!!

Hope soon. Preordered also.

Hello,

I am looking fwd to the campaign. I played 10days too many times!

I dont know how doable at this stage but it wld be great if mission debrief can be nore detailed.

Just number of types of target destroyed can be a bit mundane. Thanks

The campaign after Blazing Steppe has been revealed!

It's about ground pounding and punishment! Wooohooo! Looking forward to play "50 Shades of Minengeschosse" <3

Thanks ST_ami7b5... I've tried to insert your Blazing Steppe image into my signature but haven't been able to.

What is the 'exact' method for adding such an images. I tried doing it through my dropbox account without success. :(

so, if you own both, just replace the former pic with this one.

I've just had an idea about how to make the campaigns even more attractive ... What about adding a new plane to the campaign or even with a new map?

For example, making a campaign based on the Hurricane lend-lease would make a lot of us willing to get both the campaign and the new crate!  :)

And .... would it be possible to have a first mission of the campaigns as a Demo to see how they work and check them before purchasing?

Pretty much impossible, it takes huge amount of work and time to do a new map or

a plane.

Believe me, you don't need a demo. These campaigns are top notch work :)

For me it`s the Dynamic campaigns where I really don`t know what`s going to happen from mission to mission that counts.

In reality, the real pilots never really knew what would happen from day to day and that`s how I like it. I know this means that battles may not play out exactly like in WW2 history, but neither did the real guys know how it would play out either.

There are a myriad of ways history could`ve turned out and often it was just one decision or one battle that moved events along a certain path to the next fateful event...

I just don`t like like playing battles in hindsight of knowing already what happened. Also once a scripted mission is done- that`s it.

I think CFS 3 was the only flight sim that did  dynamic campaigns that could actually end up with the Germans winning if things went badly enough.

Well, I finally bought the Campaign 10 Days in Autumn and I have flown the first 3 missions. I just love it and it's exactly the kind of guided campaigns I was expecting. Congrats!

I hope many more come in the future.  :)

I understand you. But in a sense, single player flight sims are [at least] two separate games simultaneously.

For the "historical re-enactment" faction, scripted missions/campaigns are the way to go. And like other types of "video game", the game designer constructs a "corridor" for you to work your way along. For the "adventure-explorer" (?) faction, unpredictable "procedurally generated" campaigns would seem to be preferable.

How happy we are (should be) that this sim encompasses both! More or less.

Personally, even with scripted campaigns, I find that the outcomes of most missions vary so wildly that the replay value is very great - including my experience with "10 Days". Indeed, just like in the early 1990s, when I inched my forward in each level of Tomb Raider, I liked using my knowledge of when Lara Croft died to advance a little be further in the level. With SP "Missions",  I actually enjoy understanding why I died, why I didn't understand where that bomber/escort group was coming from, why I got so overwhelmed, and trying, with each iteration, to get better at dealing with it.

But - to state the obvious - it's each to his/her own. Thankfully, I think this genre - and this game - leaves plenty of scope for both (and others).
