gtx770 4Gb RAM, 381.89 1920x1080. Was having stutters and heavy lag when zooming.

Cure was to set Detail Landscape from 4x to 3x. ULTRA settings, 4x AA, sharp and distant grass on. Now the game is fine again.

Cheers

The BK 3.7 was not a success with the Bf 110, so if it's like that in the game, then things are being represented correctly.

But in real live a Tank didn't had a "life bar" to shoot down like a kv1 with 10-15 hits or T34 from 4-6 hits or a t7 with 2-3 hits no?

If you remove the amount of hits i could accept the accuracy. Or just make it like 1946.

After patch (2.010) game freezes up. Then installed latest nvidia drivers and all was well again. Better than before! Then hotfix came and now the problem is back and game is freezing up again... GPU is 780TI.

Is there a work around? (Yeah, yeah... Buy a new GPU... ;-) )

Thanks in advance!

As a work around you could make a copy of the config file, edit it so that vr is on keep a copy of the one where it is set to off. Create a desktop shortcut to where the config file is and swap it out before launch depending on what u want

Cheers, I'll give this a go.

- rear-firing turret with 12.7 mm UBT machine gun and 5 mm armor protection from behind is included in the stock configuration;

Quick question: is the rear-firing turret an actual turret with 360 degree angle of fire or only a rearward firing one?

I'm not sure what the full traverse is... but it has a decent amount of arc up and left and right when I tried it out.

Thanks ShamrockOneFive.

My interest was whether you could use this IL-2 as a turret fighter, comparable to the Boulton Paul Defiant, the spiritual successor to the WWI Bristol F.2 Fighter. I don't think that's the case.

Lordy, I remember a bender and darling in an f2 in rof. We don't want that killing machine back :)

No I don't think so either. It's not the powered turret flexibility that the Defiant had. Really what this gunners job to do is to make it a bad day for unwary or unlucky fighter pilots that come up behind an IL-2 or a few IL-2s. He's good a good enough angle and a powerful enough weapon that a single bullet could put the enemy off a bit.

Makes me think of this classic video from 1946:

SLI definitely does not work properly with the new update. I changed the DX11 compatibility bits in 5 and then it works, but with a lot of stutter. So I changed again to 0 and the stutter dissapeared, but SLI stopped work as well, as one card is working at almost 100% and the other is idle. I did a lot of search and apparently is a Nvidia problem, but it has no solution so far.

My specs:

Two 4GB MSI GTX 970 cards,

Processor: Intel Core i7-4770K Quad-Core Desktop Processor (3.5 GHz, 8 MB Cache, Intel HD graphics)
16GB RAM DDR3 1600 MHz
ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO DDR3 2800 LGA 1150 Motherboard

P.S.: As I have readed in another topic there is a fix on its way

My cure for suttering and problems when I zoomed :

- I destroyed my game without keep any file (dropped in trash startup.cfg and imput also). I know, it's a little job for after...

- Download and reinstall BoM for get a vanilla copy (so I got a clean imput and startup.cfg).

- My settings Nvidia SLI (GTX 770) - regular options for the rest (clic for enlarge):

and this :
27654_Sans_titre_1.jpg

- My settings in game / Camera (important IMO):
77507_2017_6_1_11_45_35.jpg

- My graphic settings  :

It seems to me this : For stability it's better to work the graphic settings by the game rather to modify the startup.cfg by Notepad

It's working good for me like this. The nightmare of suttering and zoom problems are far now.

Sorry if it's in french in pictures but... ;)

Yeah, I found this setting useful to deal with stuttering also, but as a matter of fact, SLI is disabled in this mode and one card is dedicated to Physx only. But apparently is the only way to eliminate stuttering until  we have a fix  :)
