-=PHX=-SuperEtendard Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 LoL, did you looked at the center hole from the cockpit? What holds the mirror goes it line in line with center hole? For me it is going some millimetre to the right away from the center hole. Center is center no matter where the head is shifted away. In the picture the pilot head is leaning to the side, that's why it creates the perspective looking off center at the mirror, and also explains why the mirror's little bar looks away from the center rivet in the canopy frame.. becuase it's placed a little bit ahead. An example with 1946's La-7: Center Head to the right (like in Han's Yak-1B screenshot): Head to the left: 2
Yogiflight Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 Hi Livai, you can clearly see, that the pilot head in this pic is off center, by looking to the gunsight. If the head were centered, you would see the gunsight centered, what you definitely don't. 1
616Sqn_Johnny-Red Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 (edited) I have a question about mirror implementation - though it may seen somewhat imbecilic to expert pilots: Does the rearview have aicraft icons like direct sight does? Furthermore; will it have direction indicating icons round it's perphery? I nearly melted my head thinking about this Edited May 11, 2017 by Johnny-Red
Riderocket Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 Han, I am not happy with the mirror from the Yak-1B how it is placed! How it is placed the mirror is pretty useless if the pilot see a lot more on the left side what's going on behind him than on the right side. Should the mirror not be centered with the Radio antenna to give them pilot great view left and right? Notice the gunsight! It is not centre, that's the way mirrors work.
1CGS LukeFF Posted May 11, 2017 1CGS Posted May 11, 2017 (edited) Too good to be shot down Did you read +900 were produced between September 42 and December 43?? It is shame that you used internet blogs to cut out this mod from game, Luke. You should had done your home work and researched germans files like I did. Then show us these supposed files supporting your argument. Oh, and it wasn't me who cut out anything from the game. Edited May 11, 2017 by LukeFF
1CGS LukeFF Posted May 11, 2017 1CGS Posted May 11, 2017 You should had done your home work and researched germans files like I did. Actually, I did. The January 1943 German armament manual for the H-16 mentions zip about the R1 turret:
Gunsmith86 Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 LukeFF have you got one of the H16/R1 manuals? I know there was one because its writen in the H20 manual that the H16/R1 manual is still in use. But i was so far unable to find a copy of it.
1PL-Husar-1Esk Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 (edited) Some h111 h16 manuals over there: http://www.muzeumlotnictwa.pl/digitalizacja_archiwaliow/digitalizacja.php Edited May 11, 2017 by 307_Tomcat

When your head moves to the right the backside of seat and canopy is more to the left edge in the mirror.

=/WoVi/=kirumovka Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Netcode / Client Prediction: Are there any possibilities of getting predicted firing angles (so high ping players can actually see if they are about to be shot)? At least as an option, at the sacrifice of the twitchy looks? At the moment, considering that wings of liberty, random expert and berloga dogfight servers are the only ones that ever get populated when I'm awake, I always play with above 400ping as a West Australian. While hitting targets is usually my own human error (or lack of decent hardware), receiving hits (with tracers to demonstrate their visual angle) are always lagged behind, as far as 150meters behind me when I get hit. It would be great if us high-latency players could get some improvements in this aspect. 200 meters is a lot for me, since that's actually the approximate distance in which I can identify a bf109 from a yak-1 from the rear without zooming in on my current monitor resolution.
