I gotta say this new IL-2 mod. 43 is a beast. It flies and kills things very nicely. The PTABs are pretty cool too. For Soviet ground pounders this plane will be fun to fly. 4K skins are going to loo great on it too.

Looking at those mirrors I've noticed a detail that would be cool to implement later. Some dirt buildup in the crevices around the canopy framework would look good. I think DCS has it in a few planes. It adds a touch of realism.

It would be great with old black and white, shaky movie style like in the real guncam footage. But I have no idea how difficult that would be to implement. Sorry for my ignorance 

I use the old Movie Maker to make my movies but unfortunately, I lack that effect! 

 

If somehow you can hop into adobe products you have almost infinite methods to implement footage wear and degradation effects.

Fantastic news on mirror implementation and immanent Il-2 '43 release. The rear view screeines look excellent. I had never dared hope for a mirror in my Yak-1b!

 

As for getting PTABs, there was much rejoicing in our command bunker last night.

 

There were a few more empty vodka bottles on our improvised shooting range this morning...

The second piece of good news is that we finished implementing the new graphics feature that is especially important for aircraft from 1943 - the rear view mirrors.

It's just a joke off-course. A long time ago i already said that the turret for the He-111 would be very nice to have. I also understand that the devs choice not to implement it because of time-frame reasons. It's debatable whether the H16 variant had the turret during the Kuban time-frame, but i'm not going to stand in you way asking for it. 

 

And yes i'm looking forward to the 129 from my avatar. From what the devs showed us until thus-far i'm quiet content. But then again i also try not to focus to much on a single aircraft.

LoL, did you looked at the center hole from the cockpit? What holds the mirror goes it line in line with center hole? For me it is going some millimetre to the right away from the center hole. Center is center no matter where the head is shifted away.

 

Didn't they model being able to adjust the mirror?

 

Maybe I missed that part, not sure.....

In other hand what advantage could that add if they add it???
