How to host a multiplayer server?

Hi all, could someone kindly direct me to instructions/ troubleshooting for hosting a server? 

 

It appears there are no official instructions and technical support weren't interested in helping, which is extremely disappointing. That kind of attitude will ensure that more potential players will not buy this game. 

 

That aside, I managed to get a key activated for hosting, but got as far as the following message:

Brief info:

Max clients = 5

TCP: 28000, UDP: 28000, Downloader: 28100, U/D Limits = 1000/1000

Login with UserName 'darbyjackhost'

!!! ERROR INET thread: MIS_REQUEST_FAILED: MIST_LOGIN

... Login failed
