General Questions About Shooting and Plane Control.

Hi all, hope you are well! 

 

Loving the experience of the game so far, I just have some general queries and basic questions.

 

I browsed over Requiem's excellent plane videos, I have however been wondering if there is a basic plane overview for someone whose only experience with flight sim is ROF and some arcadey type ones. I was able to master most of the planes of ROF, but of course the planes are more basic, (in a roundabout way! Don't upset the Camel!)  Just from playing BOS/M/K, it seems the majority of planes are boom and zoom types, and turning is slower, (while the speeds are much higher of course!) Also tutorials on trim, flaps and anything would also be greatly appreciated! 

 

I have managed to take off and land a few planes, but I'd love to go full simulation, (currently only have assisted radiator, not sure if I'm doing the engines correctly, or things like that.) 

 

 

Also, struggling with shooting! I've managed a few kills, but have no idea on how much of a lead is required to shoot, or what is an appropriate range, and when to fire, when not too. I'm not able to find any tutorials on this! :O 

 

So any help chucked my way, I'd love, even pointing in the right directions!

Thank you! Both those helped tremendously. I'm such a goose that I missed the aim assist button! I've been practicing, and have started with PWCG, (which I loved in ROF.) Game is so good haha! Have managed a few kills now in campaign, and have become pretty good with one of the Yak's. Damn immersive when flying back to base after leaking fuel and having engine damage... some of my landings... may need some work!
