Macchi C.202 Folgore new official 4K template released.

The Macchi C.202 is now 4K in sim and a new official template is available to download here.

Playing a career BoS on Macchi C.202 Folgore, made an appropriate 4k skin-pack (9 skins). A planes of the 386a°Squadriglia, 21°Gruppo Autonomo C.T., Kantemirowka, USSR, October 1942 was taken as a model.

 

Skins are made on the basis of a template from @ICDP. A 4K normal map is recommended: http://www.mediafire.com/file/z7i8tzvs7lwnbu0/MC202s8_Normal_Map.zip

Kantemirovka, as I understand it beyond the borders of the map. In general, from the 21st group, the 382nd and 386th squadrons were based in Tatsinskaya (which is on our map). In September 1942, 3 MC.202 were transferred to each squadron of the 21st group. In November 1942, after the Soviet offensive, the squadrons were withdrawn to Voroshilovgrad (Lugansk). For all the time, the main work was carried out by MC.200. But since MC.202 the only chance to try flying for Italians, we must use it.

I do hope one day the MC.200 will be released.

Btw, I have noticed you did also included an Normal map file, but isn’t so that for 4k you need to use that purple .dds file.

The purple file MC202s8_B.dds from @ICDP must be put in the right place (\data\graphics\Planes\MC202s8\Textures\) so that 4k skins work correctly.

That's correct....it would be great to get other italian planes that took action in Estearn front...and I think that all the community will appreciate this...MC200, for example, was a good fighter...that could compete against Hurricanes too, for example ... and not mentioning other aircraft like the FIAT BR.20 or the Caproni Ca.311 bomber

I don’t play online, so I won’t say for sure. But I think that will be displayed as standard.
