We don´t know, wether they got the investment back for the JU52. If yes, a russian transport would work as well. But they need time to do it as well. BoK will need to be finished first.

If I want a Russian , American , Japanese transport I am entitled to wish for it in the same degree that a fighter jockey wish for another type of a BF 109 (yawn) It is not up to anyone here to speak about budget or time besides the developers.

Bringing the flyable JU 52 with its feature was in my opinion new and exclusive for this sim. It is many things with this simulator I do not care for, but in my opinion the JU 52 was a sign of bold and innovative thinking, giving me great hope for the future. I think it is the developers way of doing this that make them successful and in some ways disputable

And so many diverse opinions. It's truly an aircraft that polarizes the community, which I think is fantastic. We don't all have to like the same things. I still agree that it's a good, bold move by the devs which has been forced on no one.

 

This thread is making me want to buy it though so at least then I can try it for myself to make my own opinions. I already know it has been made well based on the rest of the content. That is not a problem.

I purchased it to support the sim as a whole.

 

I have only flown it a couple of times, and always off line.  It's an interesting aircraft in it's own right, but I'd never fly it online unless it was in a real Co-op type mission, which we do not have in this sim.   As I have said before, I have flown C47s in modded IL2 '46 online and they are nothing but a slow flight to a smoking hole in the ground, simply because of the compressed nature of the mission types available to us online.

 

I might fly it more after the roll coupling/airflow over control surfaces issue with the global FM is fixed, as I think it, like the P40E is seriously degraded in performance because of it.

i never asked for this plane, ju-52 never come on my mind before release but i bought it.

i don't use it in MP, but in SP i enjoy it every once in a while.

i hope "majority" you represent don't have such behaviour problems you have.

Nobody will risk your game, BoK with it's map and tech could hit bigger sales than BoS/BoM so Pacific theatre will happen and Pacific could be the most popular expansion. So devs future looks pretty bright to me.

For me this is the best aircraft to fly in this sim!

On Random expert server, it is so fun to sneak, trick russians and drop our paratroopers, then they get angry because they know we succeed.

On friday night bomber flight, Tx Tip is providing us para drop, cargo delivery to open new airstrip so it has big role in this campaign.

 

The only issue of Tante Ju is that there is no c47 or li2 so it somehow preventing mission builder to use it.

In the interests of supporting this sim and sims in general.... I would say yes. We all know how small a group we are so anything to contribute and support the DEVS will go a long way to our hobby and passion. Besides, the JU52 is a joy to fly.

People getting so upset. Why? I`m sure most of us have no problem with the Stuka- No one is forced to fly it or not.  Not everyone is the same or like the same aircraft. I would like to see every single aircraft of WW2 in the sim, even if I wouldn`t fly half of them.

 

I tried the Stuka in the old IL2, it was very interesting. Nice views, love the siren sound...

 

Just not my kind of aircraft, also not on the side that I prefer to fly (I prefer Allied). However, I might get it one day just to complete the collection and broaden my knowledge on the craft. Just no rush.

 

But of course we should have a variety of aircraft of both sides- You can`t have a war sim without it.

 

Freedom of speech should mean we are all entitled to our opinion of an aircraft without being jumped on because we aren`t fanboys of it or because we haven`t nbought it.

Make sure you run the single player missions from Gambit.  It was great fun to fly towards the front and drop supplies for our troops!

It's on my buy list.

 

I like logistics vehicles and it makes a nice change to fly non combat missions (I often just go for a spin in my Yak just to fly, not to fight.)

 

Id love a russian equivalent or even a captured version, even if it was purely a reskin.

 

Im glad its a player useable craft.
