Semor76 Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Got BOM Yesterday and I must say, really nice Map. But the Airfields give me a really bad performance in compare to the Stalingrad ones. I have a good FPS over all.Only on the AF´s my FPS goes down to 20-15 with a lot of stutters & lags and there is not much on those Airfields what should drop my Frames on this way. Dont know, but the few Buildings and Hangars doesnt seem to have much Polygons so it must be something else that creates this heavy load on my PC. I dont want to lower my overall Settings only for the AF´s.So,Is there a way to change the Texture size of the Buildings maybe? Kind regards
150GCT_Veltro Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Check "distant grass" (graphic) and "cinematic" (camera) options. 1
Semor76 Posted February 2, 2017 Author Posted February 2, 2017 "cinematic" is always off and I dont want to change my overall settings like "distant grass" etc... I search for a change in the ini. files or something is this direction. 1
Dutchvdm Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Maybe it's this? =L/R=Piciu, on 27 Jan 2017 - 22:58, said: Everything sounds great in Devs Diary 146, but what about annoying stutters which many of us have now in multiplayer after last update? Any word of explanation would be nice, because after this problem occured we didn`t received any answer from Devs.We have three threads in "Technical Issues and Bug Reports" section about this and completly no solution from Devs:https://forum.il2stu...ble-dx11-patch/https://forum.il2stu...-game-stutters/https://forum.il2stu...ble-stuttering/ I hope that Developers have read that topics and are going to do something about it. We are aware of some stutters caused by textures for airfields and we're addressing them, but it makes us re-do a bunch of stuff. So maybe some of these stutters are related to what you are talking about I don't know. I have no concrete idea about anything else stutter related at this time. When you have a custom engine and draw such large areas such things will happen. We typically aren't able to test MP in Beta so such stutters is usually news to us. Jason
Semor76 Posted February 2, 2017 Author Posted February 2, 2017 Okay. Thx for the help. Looks like I am not the only one with this issues. I cant say much about MP. I play mostly Offline. Those Stutters are only on the Moscow Map AF´s. So,something must be wrong here. I have unchecked the distant Grass option to see what it does, and it helped a lot. The stutters are gone and my FPS have made a rocket jump from around 40 to constant 60FPS. I´m all for Eye candy,as long as it didn´t affect the FPS too much, but I cant see much difference in distant Grass on/off. What exactly did this Option in IL2?
Jason_Williams Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Yes the Moscow airfields have an issue down low. We apologize and hope to correct it in the future. Jason 4

Jason That's literally the only place in the sim itself (outside menus) where I get poor fps now. The optimizations you've made so far have been great. I have confidence that you'll get this done too at an oportune time.
=GM=GJL2 Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Yeah I got the same problem. and also it seems that we have the same optimization issue on multiplayer map of Stalingrad. When the plane is closing city area the performance will drop intensively in cockpit. but at external veiw everything is ok...hope u can fix it future... love u guys.
