Salutation Pilots,

 

I obtained a Dserver activation code this morning. Yea me.

 

Unfortunately,  I have been able to successfully load my server up with any mission for multiplay. My frustration is in not being able to set up any form of simple cooperative mission versus the game AI for myself and a friend to participate on while we learn the ropes.

 

I have spent many hours attempting to create one myself. To no avail. On the good side... I have been able to launch the one I created configured as a single player mission on my server.

 

I have downloaded mission after mission after mission from these forums in the hope I could find one or two that might meet my needs. No success... most and I mean most won't even load. Frustrating. I put all problematic missions back through the current editor after deleting their msnbin file and re-saving them. Still no success.

 

Are there ANY two player coop type server ready missions out there or is it impossible to do right now! I am not interested in joining any of the current fine servers out there right now. I want to be able to set up my own for the time being.

 

Bottom line... I currently desire some two player coop missions to run on my server versus the AI.

 

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have a look at the IL-2 Sturmovik Mission Editor and Multiplayer Server Manual. Maybe that will help you out.

Nice big tome. I have it already. I was just hoping somebody, anybody .... had already been able to create a small coop mission for server use. Guess not.

 

Oh, well.... manual hear I come.

If by "coop" you mean that you want to have the mission events start (AI planes taking off etc.) only when you first spawn into a plane, there's a "OnPlaneSpawned" event in the fakefield objects you can link to the mission logic that "starts" the mission (e.g. OnPlaneSpawned->Timer->Spawner->AI plane). Just make sure to disable the timer after the first spawn, so that the logic isn't triggered a second time when your friend spawns.

 

As there is no real "coop" mission type yet, that way the mission won't "start" until you hop into your planes with your friend.
