=SqSq=Sulaco Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 Vsync off Vsync is what stops tearing, turn it on and the tearing will go away, unfortunately a lot of your frames will go with it.
ADorante Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 The thing that worries me is everyone reporting crazy improvements in FPS. Am I the only one experiencing a drop in FPS? If you're on NVidia try updating your drivers. Somebody in the Hoggit community had good results with it IIRC.
Mayor_Wang Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 I'm sure they will fix it ASAP. The thing that worries me is everyone reporting crazy improvements in FPS. Am I the only one experiencing a drop in FPS? Not sure what hardware you have--BUT, I did experience an initial performance drop which was easily resolved: I have a Win 8.1 rig with a GTX 1080 and loads of RAM--previously I could run BOM on High settings with no framerate decrease or vsync/tearing. What is interesting to note is that I didn't have vsync checked during this previous version--this is relevant below: However, immediately after loading up the new version, I noticed a slight drop in framerate and really pronounced 'screen tearing'--especially towards the nearest stretches of ground beneath the plane while swinging the pilot's head around. I exited the mission and checked vsync/restarted BOM. Now things look pretty damn good and I dare say my F2 external view seems to have the high framerate + the slight jitter to the plane has been removed. I'm tentatively optimistic about the quality of this build. Regardless, clearly a lot of work went into the latest build and I applaud the dev effort.
=gRiJ=MrLebowski Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 Im having problems running the game, 50% times it crashes with a "D3D_ERROR: Fullscreen mode is not available: DXGI_STATUS_OCCLUDED", and the other 50% it freezes while loading the first screen and I have to kill it manually. I'm on a Win10x64, i76700k, gtx1060, latest drivers, no nvidia extra software installed, just plain driver... Looking forward for the next hotfix! Bests...

Danziger Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 I am running AMD FX 4100 3.6ghz CPU with 16gb ddr3 RAM and AMD XFX RX 460 4gb ddr5 RAM GPU on Windows 7 64 bit updated.
dburne Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 (edited) Having quite a bit of trouble downloading here. Purchased both BOM and BOK today, it has been stuck the last several hours. Probably 98% of it downloaded good, now it has been running around .5-1 kbs for the quite a while. Now it is showing like .02-.04 kbs. I had not updated BOS in quite some time so maybe has something to do with it. Wondering if I should just cancel out this download at this point... Well checked again and it was stuck at 0.00 kbs, closed it out and ran it again, it is downloading from the beginning once again - will see what it does this time. Edited December 20, 2016 by dburne

Mmaruda Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 To everyone experiencing low FPS on Nvidia - make sure you set your energy management setting to "prefer max performance"! The default one is some optimal power, which seriously nerfs the GPU for power saving.
Lusekofte Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 please help me! I had the same , so I went in my controldesk and found win update and installed socalled non critical updates , and then it worked after a restart

71st_AH_Mastiff Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 Vsync off you do know running with out vysync on with track ir causes tearing right? also if running higher 4k with Gysync causes issues with most none 4k games anyway. Unfortunately, the hotfix did not solve the pixel problem (AMD Radeon RX-470): I see your also running in the very lowest resolution...

IRRE_Genius Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 (edited) oddly enough - I'm down to 2-3 FPS (not twenty thirty - but TWO or THREE) -- this is bizarre, most quitemy GPU is an oldie, but it does still measure up to support DX11 - it's a single NVIDIA GTX580 - and before the update it gave me a reasonable 30~60 FPS depending on scene conditions... now, it definitely seems there's something not quite right here... this is on windows 7 64 bitany thoughts?Same here with a 560Ti. (With no grass on startup.cfg)Cpu are in use about 12%RAM are in use about 70%Gpu are in use about 100% Have you and Moach installed the necessary Windows 7 Update that was mentioned in the release notes by Han? PFR_Bearkiller72 Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 Thank you, dear devs! DX11 and reduced workload on the system are well noticeable. Feels much, much smoother now. KUDOS! Also many many many many thanks for overworking the German guns & ammo. The 3 Pe-2's I've chalked up in my first test run with the '190 lit up and fell down like a charm. Overworking online missions is still problematic; deleting the .msnbin file and then opening the mission in editor isn't working. "Can't load mission file" keeps popping up. Choosing the "resaving all missions in folder" option in ME only produces errors ( I chose this for a test ). Apart from this, many many many thanks for a much smoother joyride with this precious piece of software!
