WWGeezer Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 I know I can create two plane sets at a base using a number in front of the plane at the airfield....but I can't remember how to trigger it. Building a two sortie dogfight mission that starts with Fighters but switches to Escorts and Bombers Oh Mission Building Guru's please advise!
Habu Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 You have to use the Beahavior Command, and set the float parameter.
WWGeezer Posted December 10, 2016 Author Posted December 10, 2016 bless you....was the "float paramater" I forgot
Jade_Monkey Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 Can you guys elaborate? I'm interested.
WWGeezer Posted December 10, 2016 Author Posted December 10, 2016 Yes it is a very simple thing, but can allow you to have multiple plane sets at a single base. When you select planes to be at the airfield there is a "#" field in the front of each plane on the list. If you put the number 0 there, those planes show up when you run the mission. You can add more planes with the number 1 in front of them and they won't show up If an event in the mission is tied to a behavioral trigger that sets the "float parameter" to 1....than when its triggered only planes with 1 label show up. Basically flips a switch on whole new plane set. Vander used this extensively on his "Day on the Front" missions because it allowed him to change the plane sets multiple times depending on field conditions very cool

Does that reset the total number of planes available to the full volume, or does the quantity available freeze for the duration of the deactivation??
Urra Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 It reset the number of planes available. Thanks! That's awesome.
Habu Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 yes only for multiplayer, you set the planset in the aifield object. In solo mission you have to set a plane to the player.
Jade_Monkey Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Right, I was hoping this functionality may be of use somehow in SP for other things but I guess not.
Habu Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Jade Monkey, if you need, i can do a mission to understand how it works.
Jade_Monkey Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Jade Monkey, if you need, i can do a mission to understand how it works. Thanks! Only if it has any functionality in SP. I dont build MP missions.
JimTM Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 (edited) FYI, here are a few MP airfield-related topics in the IL-2 Sturmovik Mission Editor and Multiplayer Server Manual (pre-release edition one): - Replenish or Change the Planes Available In a Multiplayer Mission (pg. 115) - Manage Airfield Availability (pg. 131) - Change Control of an Airfield to the Enemy (pg. 133) Edited December 11, 2016 by JimTM
Habu Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Thanks! Only if it has any functionality in SP. I dont build MP missions. Ok, as i said, it had no utility in solo.
