Thats a bit weird. Maybe one of the config. files was changed slightly. In the end, the worst thing that could happen is that you will need to wait for Dx-11 for it to get better I guess, which is not too far out.

I am also experiencing stutters and a big drop in FPS from steady 60 to less than 30 during landings on the Moscow Map with only a single plane on the map, P-40 in QMB. Anyone else seeing this? My Specs: i5 3570K@4.2 16 gb ram 850 EVO Pro 256 gb SSD GTX970 G-Sync ROG Swift @1920x1080 Ultra, 4x distance, 2xAA Win 7 Ultimate 64 Update: Thanks for the responses on my issue. After updating my drivers and a deeper dive, its looks like my GTX 970 can't handle the distant grass setting. Once unchecked, FPS was closer to 45-60 near the ground and landings were smooth again. Matt Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 @Toxin1: I have a very similar system (stock CPU clock though), run the same settings and don't see stutters or a big FPS drop. I'm running the latest NVIDIA drivers, so maybe you should give those a try, if you're not using them yet.

LLv34_Flanker Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 S! The guns on E, F and early G were installed "stepped" because of ammo feed was dine from between the guns. In the G-6 and later you got the bulges, because the ammo feed was from outside and guns were symmetrically.

kissklas Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 First of all mostly performance. But it depends what you do with what you have. Look at DX as a tool more than a product. It allows for creation of better content. Both visual and performance wise. For example the shaders will be rewritten, but they might not write new shaders that use all the bells and whistles of Dx11.

Maybe some changes to the net code and the way interacts with the renderer, blocking it too much too often. I would not suspect the clouds unless you have the same problems in QMB when setting up high clouds. I really like this version so far. Having AI spotter planes is going to add a little something to MP missions, I think. A moving objective to attack and defend. I haven't checked if player-controlled planes can also be used as spotters. That could be fun. Being able to control the clouds altitude is also nice. I chased a FW190 tonight, and I first I had trouble following him. The clouds from 1500m to 2100m were at just the right altitude for him.

On map as icon, or simply popup text note?

Yesterday in WoL server all in the base moved with pulsed movement, I don't know what's the problem but this never happened to me before. Please help! ECV56_Palex I had video/audio stuttering before, even happened on youtube. Ended up being my wireless card conflicting with my sound card. I disabled wireless and the problem went away. It started all of a sudden after some windows update.

You have to select the option in the plane advanced properties, and set the spoting area. The spoting area i set by the mission builder and can be adjust.

Frequent_Flyer Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 The AI bomber/Attack aircraft formations are still very unrealistic in their flight patterns.When attempting to avoid a hostile aircraft they fly like a school of fish, a complete immersion killer. Additionally the AI 110's fly like a car rally. they fish tail, nearly stop on a dime and change direction. A dog fight with a hostile AI is still just a bunch of planes chasing their tail. I do not see any difference in the AI .

I like also ground just near the runway Ground handling is great, I can finally land safely in the snow in an emergency. It's not easy but it's doable. And tires end up to their neck in snow.

It's not perfect, have had about 4-5 freezes (out of about 30 missions, mostly quick missions) requiring me to use the task manager to kill the process, and only a couple of pauses during a long mission (~40 min.) but other than that, and with graphics on Ultra, almost everything maxed (AA at 2x as it looks better for some odd reason), fps almost always pegged at 60, it's drop dead gorgeous and a hell of a lot of fun. Did a couple of campaign missions and was totally immersed. The wife and cats will be seeing little of me over the next few months... EDIT: There's friggin' guys walking around the airfields now!! Comes Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 Great Update. Really like the new Clouds. Just one thing: If I play in normal mode and disable Icons or the HUD completly, the Icons are still visible in Bomb Sight. It was not like this before. Has this been done on purpose?

Prior to this update I was having issues where I would receive continuous thumping of the FFB or where the FFB was too stiff or one axis had no FFB. If I held my joystick off center when entering the game the issue didn't seem to arise as often. If it did occur, I could correct it by doing an Alt-tab out and back into the game. Since the update, I do not seem to have this issue anymore. All seems to work as it should. I was wondering is this was specifically addressed in the update and just not mentioned in the notes. I know others have had this problem. Is it no longer an issue for others who had this happen? Still happens to me atleast, running on Win10. Alt-Tab does something to it but doesn't fix it everytime. Going to "Input Devices" at Options and clicking Accept is another cure when flying but that crashes the game quite often.

I mistakenly hit Left Ctrl +1 (I've "traditionally" had that for selecting engine 1). In the HUD (with that "dashboard" readout on), three small red rectangles appeared in the lower centre of the screen - and stayed. Hitting Left Ctrl +2 turned them blue (or green? I can't actually remember!), while Left Ctrl +3 turned them grey. Now, I can't find find Left Ctrl + a number in the default assign keys interface (at least I don't think they're there), so my question is: what do these little red rectangles signify?
