II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 (edited) I think maybe the confusion is a wording issue. If you exceeded the time limit for emergency/combat - running it at normal power would still end up with a timer countdown regardless of whether you backed off the power. Eventually damage would trigger even if you never moved back up into emergency power. Now it sounds like if you back off out of emergency power after exceeding your limit before damaging your engine and running the engine only at limits below this - you would not end up having the engine fail during the remaining flight. I had this happen to me only 4 nights ago in a 190 (running normal and then the engine suffered damage). Interesting. I've run my 190 past the limit, then manually backed it off to 2300-2350 rpm for several minutes. I always manually back it off when the Kommandogerat automatically throttles back and never just leave it firewalled. After letting it cool off for a bit I have often gained a portion of the Emergency time/power/clock back and can use it in small bursts later in the round. I almost never break the 801 outright in the game. No idea if this is historically accurate or not. Edited October 19, 2016 by II/JG17_HerrMurf
Jade_Monkey Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Only to clarify are there changes made in the FM of the Fw190A3 or only on AI side? Its not the FM, its how the pilot (AI) flies the plane. It wont put the plane in high angles of attack as it did before, so AI wont stall as often.

71st_AH_Mastiff Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Awesome! The Yak-1b and Ju 52 aren't part of BoK and will likely be released before we get the first BoK content. ? uh? yes; I know that hence beta tester here.. it was stated in an announcement these are add on planes (collector Planes addition)... http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/168-developer-diary/?p=378896
Lusekofte Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Thank you for your effort, I wish you all the best.
StG2_Manfred Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 (edited) Nice update, thank you! Made a couple of landings and it feels much more realistic now, very good. Said this a couple of times before, even I'm sometimes critical about game design decisions (FM...) I take my hat off for your programming skills. Very good, very professional, almost never I have or had a problem with an update or the game itself! Works always smooth and like a charme, regardless how many things have been added or updated. JG300_Paulus Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 The force feedback still doesn`t work. I have Saitek EVO Force.
Turban Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Cloud height is something I've been dreaming of for a while, can't wait to try !! And all the rest... Amazing update as usual !!!
Finkeren Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 ? uh? yes; I know that hence beta tester here.. it was stated in an announcement these are add on planes (collector Planes addition)... http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/168-developer-diary/?p=378896 Yes, and since the devs are planning on releasing the Bf 109 G4 in December, they'll have to release the Yak-1b and Ju 52 before then, right?
LLv44_Damixu Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Asgar, did you get your pedals? We were worried about this But got my new computer just Yesterday, so you obeyed my commands after all :D
1CGS LukeFF Posted October 19, 2016 1CGS Posted October 19, 2016 I noticed Fm has also change in a lot of planes. Or physics at least But Not Fw190 am i right? The only FM change was to Yak-1, that's it.
Guest deleted@50488 Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 It was already MY BEST EVER Flight Simulator but it became EVEN BETTER!!!!!
=CFC=Conky Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Hello all, Did a few circuits in various kites on winter and summer maps. The aircraft are much better behaved on landing now; you can be a little fast or slow and the bounce is less pronounced and the kites easier to keep straight during rollout. Nice job devs, thanks. =CFC=Conky
SCG_motoadve Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 109 F2 been flying it at full power ,after a while its reduced , not constant , doesnt go past 1.2 ATA sometimes even less power, then comes back , but never to full. What does this simulates? overheating, engine damage? Engine has not quit on me though.
[CPT]Pike*HarryM Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I gave the 110 a quick mission test. Brushed a tree-top but didn't take damage, so it seemed more rugged. Landed with a decent amount of speed on 2 wheels and only bounced slightly, no kangaroo hop.
Mmaruda Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Ok so I noticed the update and while I was going to play 1946, I could not give this a pass. Along with a mate we jumped onto some random dogfight server (with airstarts, Oleg pls forgive me) and had some fun. I was a nice 2:2 tie and all, didn't really notice anything new, but I also decided to play a bit and test the new landing physics. My... Dear... Lord!!! Has this game come close to a perfect sim! It's great. I can finally land confidently just like in DCS or whatever realistic WWII warbird sim. No more bouncy crap! Clean and smooth 3 point touchdowns all the way and no ground looping at all. I repeat, all my landing that are done according to the procedure are perfect now, I feel completely confident! Thank you! I'll be flying this more from now on. Also, you got yourselves a 99% certain BOK buyer (just make the AI act more reasonable, will you?).
C6_Zorkaiev Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Excuse me for my google english. With the new patch, the bf 110 has become very difficult to Taxier. it goes to the left, even with the yaw and brake completely right. Obligation to increase the power on the left engine to go straight. We tried several (squad C6). All have experienced this problem. 1

Yogiflight Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I made exactly the opposite experience. I was now able to taxi the 110 with a little more power to the left engine, without any problems, without a single use of the brakes, just by using the rudder.
Bert_Foster Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Dont understand the Engine damage changes. I dont see any real dif. e.g. Ran BMW801 at 1.42 for > 3min. At first sign of damage reduced to 1.32ATA still damage, reduced to 1.15 still damage. My interpretation was that if you damage at Max pwr reducing to a continuous setting should result in continued operation at the continuous setting ?
FuriousMeow Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 There are some great changes. But... Has someone noticed a really basic physics now? In all planes i mean not only the 190. You can make cracy manouvers at slow speed keeping full control of the airplane with no effort. It is too easy i notice. Planes allways keep a neutral behaviour in all situations. Mmm like war thunder Also all the guns ate quite more powerfull. Devastating effect. I have to repeat some tests but with only the first impression on berloga seems to much. I am not experiencing either. Dont understand the Engine damage changes. I dont see any real dif. e.g. Ran BMW801 at 1.42 for > 3min. My interpretation was that if you damage at Max pwr reducing to a continuous setting should result in continued operation at the continuous setting ? You aren't supposed to damage your engine, once you damage it of course it will stay damaged and get worse because it is damaged. Apparently before once you ran out of the max overboost without damage and reduced throttle to normal operating settings the engine would still get damage.
[CPT]Pike*HarryM Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Yes, tendency for the 110 to veer left is the same, nothing really changed in this behavior that I could tell. If I put power settings at about 17%L 7%R after she gets rolling she will taxi w/o constant right-brake tapping, and you can steer with rudder only. Only have to use brake for hard turns.
Brano Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Did few 4 vs 4 QMB missions with kitty vs Fw-190 flying both. Seems to me that kitty is more stable in tight turns, like if critical AoA has been increased. Similar for Fw. It's either less sensitive on elevator or AoA was pushed a bit up cause it's easier to follow tight turns together with more pronounced pre-stall buffeting. Damaged airplanes = with holes in the wings are easier to handle. No more "shaking" like before. I learned all quirks of previous ground handling model so now it seems to me like going in easy mode :D
-TBC-AeroAce Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 just wanted to say for those that are having problems with taxing. For some reason my controls for left and right breaks had been reset! I started testing and was like wtf but then looked at the controls and found that they were reset and a quick remap and then all was ok 1

FlyingNutcase Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 A 3 day weekend this weekend; nice timing and with 2.004 I'm back for a little regular flying time as planned. :-D
LLv24_Zami Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 No mention about the joystick ID storing fix in the patch notes. Is it included in this patch?
LLv24_Zami Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Yes that's included. Thanks! I had those issues so hopefully they are gone now
1CGS Han Posted October 20, 2016 Author 1CGS Posted October 20, 2016 Thanks! I had those issues so hopefully they are gone now Please send me a PM after 3-5 days - was it problem fixed for you or not. We strongly need feedback on it because it's very specific issue.

keeno Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Now this is a meaty update list, very impressive. Can't wait to try it out tonight! Thanks and keep up the amazing work. Cheers
Cpt_Cool Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 FFB didn't work with my MSFFB2 after the update either. I couldn't spend to much time looking at it though, so I will check it out this evening. my msffb2 works just fine after update
Jade_Monkey Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 If the devs haven't changed the FMs then i can only attribute it to placebo effect.
